I played it, had a lot fun. It takes a bit of getting used to but overall the experience was good. I'd give it a 7/10, good but not great. I don't understand how low some the ratings get, unless those people are the stereotypical fat, uncoordinated losers that plagues the "gamer" demographic.

Here is the problem with your idea. Kung fu panda probably did get better reviews because it wasnt trying to prove anything to any body. Kung fu panda was a kid's brawler that knew it was a kids brawler so you couldnt really knock it. There hasn't been a good Tony Hawk game since the Underground series on the PS2 and after the realistic physics that was in Skate 1 I have to say that Tony Hawk should bow out gracefully before it becomes any worse.
I agree Skate has good graphics and everything. And TH is very unrealistic. Being a skater myself I prefer skate because it's almost like a simulation. But TH games are brilliant, great fun to play, crazy story and just a good laugh. I love TH and Skate.

Yeah it's an expensive hobby, and 130.- isn't to bad, but they do get pretty high pricing. I went to the store near my house 'Pulp 68' and it's the cheapest store in Geneva, and they have boards for about 70.- Francs, and they're not to bad of boards.
Games after American wasteland sucked from TH. "Skate" did a great job and cant wait for "Skate 3" stick to the controller imo.. If you want realistic go to your local skate shop buy a deck and ride it... noting can imitate the real deal... get some damn sun ppl :)

No it's not cheaper at all. A skateboard is €150 for a decent one here in Belgium, And you probably need a new deck each 6months if you skate alot.

Man, how often do you see one reviewer give it a 9 and another give it a 2, thats pretty epic. Game looks like shit though, THUG 1 and THPS3 were the best imo.

Don't waste you money, get Modern warefare 2 instead, or DJ hero atleast that games controller works and it costs a whole lot less that tony hawk ride....

I actually believe the seris peaked with AW. I enjoied that story and wish it went on to a pro story like THUG 1.

Gamezone gives high ratings to everysingle game. This game deserves a 2/10. The board is a piece of shit, the gameplay elements suck and the non-existing story does not even have to be mentioned.

usually the difference between top to bottom in scores is paced, but this goes from 9.2 to 5.8 in one review, must be a horrible game
