  • So lazy! Such a cheap and easy part of the job. Someone was either too lazy or uneducated about how to finish this. Stuff like this gives every contractor a bad image. Unfortunate.

  • Hard to believe that someone would do such a shady job. Good job you caught it for them Scott. I'll bet the customer you worked for on this job is glad you found this little secret! The carpenter who did this needs a good swift kick in the..... Thanks for posting...Maby you could show a video to show how it is supposed to look.

  • We bought a trilevel house that was flipped that had a new roof installed but no flashing. We did not find out until 3 short years later when the water damage buckled our hardwood floor and cracked our dry wall. Flashing should be part of the inspection in my opinion as the normal homebuyer would not look for that.

  • That's hard to believe they would do such a thing especially on a new structure. WOW.

  • hang the roofer.

  • Better use copper.
