  • I've carried the SP-01 steel frame for over a year concealed. It is not a problem with a good IWB holster. The weight is not a big deal. The Po-1 is also an excellent option.

  • I bought this pistol a few months ago and I have to say I LOVE it!!! I bought mine "lightly" used and its been flawless.Just made a video on testing Mec-Gar magazines with it..Outstanding,is all I can say! :)

  • looks like the baby eagle

  • @hitman74 Magnum Research's Baby Eagle (IWI Jericho) is a CZ "clone." Other guns that share the design are the EAA Witness (Tanfoglio Force), the ArmaLite AR-24 and most of Canik 55's line-up (the Shark is very similar looking to the metal framed Baby Eagle).

When it comes to simple good looks, though, I think the Baby Eagle and the Cenik 55 Shark look better than the CZ. But that's just my opinion.

  • @cstarr3 oh ok i had no idea i keep asking for the review for the Jericho not sure if we well ever see the day light of it

  • Thank you for the video! Great job.

  • I recently purchased the EAA Witness which is a clone of this gun except its cheaper.

  • @lordreed2 It's not exactly a clone, but EAA Witness is my preference.

  • Instead of watching TV, I go to your channel.

  • Man, I love that gun. I just haven't been able to justify getting one... no slots left in my "use" categories. I have my Glock 17 tricked out for competitive shooting, my G34 for home defense and general carry when I can. My Kimber for concealed carry... bummer. Thanks for another excellent review my friend. Go TNP!

  • Cz p07 test maybe... Eventually... Perhaps?

  • why do you always do 40 min videos?

  • @omfgerror11 his videos run long because he spends time discussing philosophy of use (POU) to give us a good idea of what jobs the gun is or isnt suited for, thus helping inform our buying decisions. he also interjects very detailed information, some humor, and personal opinions which many of us, myself included, really enjoy over 5 minute bare-bone reviews, of which there are many on YT but YMMV.

  • Does he always refer to himself in the 3rd person?

  • @austinguy23 He used to do that more in his older videos from 2008 but generally doesn't too much anymore. either way not a big deal IMHO.

  • @austinguy23

    Yes I think he does.

  • @austinguy23 yes he is a douche-bag

  • Whenever I begin considering a new firearm purchase I hit up Youtube and, what do you know? Nutnfancy has already taken care of it with his in-depth and interesting reviews. The man must not sleep, I'm telling you. Thanks a lot, amigo. Don't ever stop doing your thing. TNP!

  • Nutn, have you shot the custom SP-

01 Shadow? If so, what do you think about the trigger? I really like it.

  • Just watched the 2012 shot show posting of the CZ booth and had to come check this out thanks

  • A friend who mostly shoots cz's just sent his phantom/tactical out to colorado (I believe cz customs) for trigger jobs. I've shot both before, and recently shot them after the TJ, and the single actions now rival some of the springfield 1911's I've shot. Crisp, almost no overtravel, and double action was immensely improved!

  • Dig the music

  • i know looks shouldn't matter, but that Sp01 is 100x sexier than any of the other firearms you presented to us :P

  • @TiberiusCharra It is not a more popular pistol then a glock! Stop lying to yourself.

  • anyone know if the mag release on this gun is reversible for left handed use?

  • @AirForceAce3571 not that im aware of, but the p-01 does have (compact model) im a lefty too and non ambi guns suck big time for me :P

  • Over in Iraq, these sp07s rule the day. Any of the 75 models. They are the easiest to find parts and magazines for.

  • @Mordred113 makes sense, aren't they the most popular pistol outside the USA next to glock?

  • @Livelifechill No, they're far more popular than Glock, especially in Europe on the civilian and police market.

  • I own two CZ75s. One from 1992, the other also from 1992, but with the commander hammer. Both are unbelievable guns--in 9mm. Reliable and at least 20% more accurate than my Sig Stainless Steel p. 226. The best guns--amazing. The in the frame slide is a superior design, reducing recoil and increasing accuracy noticeably. Great trigger in single.

I recently brought a new CZ75 compact. As accurate as my Sig p.226---but not as accurate as the standard 75, and with a bit more recoil. Amazing!

  • CZ-75B in 40 absolutly unreliable. If anyone gets it, get it in 9x19mm NOT in .40. My 40 jams 15 times on every 100 rounds. It has been twice to the CZ recommended gunsmith but it has come back with the same problem. FTW and double feeds. Ransom resting the pistol causes jams at the same rate. limp wristing actually improves reliablity!

  • Eww not watching 45 minutes of you talking. No thanks.

  • CZ is my next firearm..........compact alloy model TY

  • the first cz 75 looked as a browning hi power. im glas that the phantom looked diferent

  • @kjsh987 people say the jericho 941 is based on the sp01 but i believe its the opposite, the jericho/baby eagle/ uzi eagle has been around for quite a while

  • @darksamurai73 the 941 is based on the CZ75...... as are so many others. nothing wrong with that :D.

  • @darksamurai73 u are right on it because the jericho is the desert eagle but smaller, for 9mm and with shitty parts

  • So you added the stupid farting noises because you didn't want us to hear what you were saying? Clever Boy!

  • nice gun i have the po7 duty by cz i hope you can do a review on that one.

  • 16:24 "the same capacity...more or less" ~ best Nutnfancy quote :)

  • a CZ 75B sells for about $350.00 and a IMI jerico 941 sells for about $100.00 less.

  • I have a CZ 75 BD. I have no use for polymer in any firearm frames. Sure many firearms have proven adequate durability but I prefer my handguns made from steel, not plastic. I prefer the weight of steel because it makes maintaining the target much easier. I make these statements as an "old man" that isn't as physically capable as you are nutnfancy. Light weight firearms in long guns make sense up to a point but in my opinion not in a handgun.

  • Does anyone know where I could find a belt holster for the phantom molded for the TLR-1 light?

  • Why does everyone always bring up Glock's? I have shot them, and didnot like them. I'll go with a good CZ, Springfield,S&W, or, my new fav., FNP. I also prefer 40 or 45 cals. All that aside, another great video.

  • @SpookeyEyeGhost Because Glocks are in many ways an industry standard. You might not like them, but for many, many people it isn't a matter of preference- they are widely issued handguns amongst police forces and militaries around the world. When you're talking about service handguns, you can't look at anything in a vacuum.

  • @vnlk65n I know they are widely issued, but thanks for the reminder. i donn't look at things in a vacuum, just stated my opinion. i tried out a gen 4 a couple of weeks ago at my local range, and still don't like the trigger. Doon't know why, just me. I'm used to single action 1911's i guess. Did not mean to cut on them, just stateing my opinion. keep it real and stay safe.

  • I have a CZ 75 in 40. I have had extensive jamming problems with 165gr ammo, as in 2-3 jams per mag. It shoots fine with 180gr ammo. In fairness I have no yet fully stripped and cleaned it. The trigger is also terrible. I will probably trade it for something else in 9mm.

  • not many reviews of the Steyr M youtube

  • When you said boobtube my friend literally laughed for two minutes you made his day and great video dude!

  • Are you ever going to review the Sig Pro?

  • Awesome! Do you know of an active retention holster that can be used on a chest rig for the CZ75? I thought I saw one in this video, but not sure. I ordered one from Israel, but it doesn't attach to anything I have or have seen. Thanks!

  • and are you using jhp on your first run?

  • beautiful little sidearm, if only i could hit the lotto, this would be in my lovely arsenal

  • What is the difference between the SP-01 and the Sp-01 phantom. because i have the SP-01 and it looks the same.

  • @12GAshotgunnersrain the phantom has a polymer frame

  • @12GAshotgunnersrain phontom has polymer lower. Yours should be metal. (I prefer your model)

  • ANOTHER nutnfancy review! Keep them coming brother!

  • It is CZ-rrific !!!

  • @nutnfancy , just so you know, (definitely in their rifle line) the CZ test targets are more for function than for accuracy. The rifles also come with the actual targets instead of a computer sheet.

  • @nutnfancy , every 9mm- .45 I've shot all had shells that would fly back into my face or something. Why is that different with you?

  • Dear Nutnfancy,

Do you have any experience with the CZ PCR? I am considering it as a concealed carry. Does it make a practical IWB gun? Is it too bulky?

  • @mst3k4evur Depends on how much you are willing to lug man. Personally with CCW I would go with the Kel-Tec PF9 that Nutnfancy reviewed. If you are in a winter environment and you like to carry big go for it....but me I like light single stack 9mms.

  • Does anyone know if the CZ SP01 magazines are interchangeable with the CZ 75 mags? I was on a website where the mag category for CZ 75 and SP01 were the same.

  • @Painkiller9013 Not sure myself. My 26 rounders that work in both types of CZ 75s work in my SP-01. I would assume an SP-01 mag could work on a CZ 75 being that all the magazine is, is an extended mag.

  • @Painkiller9013

From the CZ-USA website: The Phantom has a 18+1 round capacity in 9mm and will also accept all previous CZ 75 model magazines (both full and restricted capacity).

  • Really annoying intro music this go around man. No go for another video please.

  • I just read a FBI report so it said it was anyway, and yes the caliber basically does little for "stopping power" it the penetration and hitting vital organs that does the job. A bigger caliber might improve the odds a little since the would channel i a little bigger, but that is basically it. interesting findings though. I wonder if people in the field think the same though. Maybe nutnfancy could comment on that?

  • I purchased a CZ 75 compact and I really love this gun. The stock trigger is good but could be better. I sent the frame to Bill Springfield of triggerworks, he did a very good job and the turn around was amazing. He got it on Fri and I got it back on Monday. He lives in Colorado Springs and I live in Portland. If you need a trigger job give Bill a look.

  • Awesome video on the CZ. I have a CZ .32 model 83 and a CZ .380 model 83: both super dependable and fun to shoot. The .380 is the more accurate, with excellent sights. Think I'm going to get an all steel CZ-75 to compare to my Sig p. 226 all stainless elite: the best gun I've ever shot---but the price tag is pretty steep. Completely worth it if you ask me---an awesome machine. But I've got super respect for CZ pistols. Just got to own a 75--but ALL STEEL!

  • Did communist czechoslovakia exported them to US in the 80s? Or were they made in US by someone else ?

  • @Jigssaw1989 Exported.

  • can you get it in .45?

  • First gun, not planning on carrying with me. Just for target and stuff. Would you recommend the SP-01 or the SP-01 Phantom?

    Thanks in advance,

    -Aristo

  • The weight of the full SP01 and the combat trigger (larger finger) with night sights and 19+1 = monster of a weapon. I was raggin' out holes on paper targets from 25 yards on a good day. This thing is accurate, even with cheap ammo. I will never sell it.

  • Hi, can you do also review of slovak gun, GRAND POWER K100, selling in US by STI under name GP6 ?

    Thx.

BTW, am owner of SP01 Phantom and am very satisfy ! ;)

  • "The best pistol" is the one you are proficient wit. End of story.

  • how is the standard single action trigger? and which 9mm combat pistol is best on 25 yards?

  • how is the standard single action trigger?

  • @dieHoelzer has a little bit of creep and ttravel

  • they failed to stop because they were shooting them probably because their shot placement sucked...like when that state trooper in Georgia died from a deranged vietnam vet...the officer hit the man with a modern load 9mm twice...but they were gut shots...

  • Comment removed

  • An unbeatable combo is the SP01 and PF9. Open carry and concealed. The CZ is undoubtedly the best pistol I've ever owned.

  • @timstudio777 X2 I looked 3 different pistols: TheTaurus PT92,the Sig 220,and the Phantom. The Phantom wins hands down!

  • ergonomics was interpreted as organometallic by the subtitler...baha

  • HI! what do you think about SP-01 and Tactical compared to Phantom? I am about to get my very first Pistol really need some advise from you. THank you

  • Held one of these in the local gun store today, and.... YUP.. in love! I need this one. (Also diggin the sig pro 2022 - just fun fact)

  • The beginning of this video is epic...

  • Does it come with the 18rd clips? because mine came with 2 10s

  • @Hauteur723 You must have gotten one intended for one of the hippy states, like california or new york or new jersey.

  • @Kylef7735 no it doesn't come with the 18s just the 10s.. 18s are like $50 a pop from CZ i don't think they're going to let them go that easily.. and the CZ is actually illegal in those states

  • @Hauteur723 The gun itself is not illegal in those states, just the Over 10 round magazines are, so that may have been why the 18 rounders came with yours.

  • @Kylef7735 in budsgunshop it states that this gun is not legal to sell in 3 states.

  • @Hauteur723

Because Bud's. like most larger retailers, can't be bothered to swap out the 15 rounders that come with the pistol for 10 rounders. The pistol itself is plenty legal, the magazines it ships with are not, however.

  • @PulletSurprise hmm, i bought gun and it canme with two 10RD mags. Because am from NJ, there is 15 RD mags allowed , so i decided to get 2 15 RD mags from cz-usa website. I must say, that these 15 RD mags are piece of crap and wont slip out by it self, i gotta pull them out each time. I called CZ-usa and they told me, this is happening, because they not oem mags. hmmm, screw that !

  • Got mine recently.. Can't wait to shoot it this weekend :)

  • I loved this gun the moment I first laid eyes on it... (too bad I had to sell it).

My husband thinks I'm insane for loving the CZ brand. Got a Duty right now as my conceal carry. Love that one too. Though the sights could be better.

  • FYI. @41:14, the XDs aren't domestic designs, they are originally Croatian design (HS2000). Not lookin' to bust nutfancy's balls or anything, but the XD designs, like the CZ, is eastern European.

  • @cstarr3

Someone give that man a gold star! Absolutely correct.

  • the reason it has a smaller slide is because there is less metal coming back and because of that, there is less recoil

  • @nissanis1 That may be true, but less weight would give the slide a greater spped therefore increasing the recoil.

  • @OHwrestlingIO so what if the slide did not weigh anything?

  • @ millertymeallthetyme where are you located? can you get the seller's info for me? ill buy it!

  • I have a 75B and absolutely love it. Incredibly accurate. I've owned several other full-size pistols in both polymer and metal and know what I prefer and why. I have no problem concealing my 75B as long as I'm using a decent holster. My Crossbreed is about the best I've found, as well as others like it.

I saw one of these for sale locally for a song ($450) and thought about jumping on it. It felt good in the hand, I just couldn't commit to spending money on another polymer pistol.

  • @millertymeallthetyme

I bought a cz-75bd for $300 out the door used. Best steal frame weapon I've ever used. definitely better than a beretta 92

  • @millertymeallthetyme

I bought a cz-75bd for $300 out the door used. Best steal frame weapon I've ever used. definitely better than a beretta 92 just my opinion

  • lol. am i worthy of this pistol?

  • Weren't 1911's reliable in the 20's 30's 40's 50's 60's 70's and 80's? Hmmm?

  • If I'm not mistaken, the kadet .22 kit will hold open on the last shot if you contact cz and get the alternate slide stop (free shipped to you door), but perhaps I'm getting stories mixed up...

  • 44 fuckin mins.

    seriously?

  • The cz-75 pre B is the best.

  • hêhé_Ï_fëEl_sÒ_løNëly_tõÐAy

  • @BabeiBrendaao556 then touch yourself while crying about how you have to do that stupid shit for channel views

  • I did my trigger on my cz75 and I can tell you NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

What a pain in the a** to get it back together.(me no gunsmid, duh) but man the trigger was very smooth after that. Love all of my CZ's

  • CZ now sells a drop leg holster for it that is kind of like a serpa. Just got it today, but haven't had a chance to test it out. Seems solid though.

  • i have been shooting the crap out of my ruger sr40 imma do a revue on it soon ill keep you posted if you want me to nutn.

  • Look at all of those insanely overpriced guns in the case.

  • We haven't seen the Phantom come back into the project since the review. I'd like to see it make an appearance and maybe see what PFI Dude thinks or Officer Jared and see how new users adapt to it. We've seen Your Glock 17, Sig 226 and XDM 9 make Multiple appearances in the project.

  • I must say I don´t like CZ 75 design at all, no matter it´s from Czech Republic as I´m... Only thing I actually like is the grip, which is quite good. Trigger pull is not very smooth, safeties are all bad - If you were living in Czech Republic and hear all the horrors of CZ owners and police officers who were shot and killed by failure of CZ 75 gun - mainly poor fall safety, well you won´t be wanting this gun anymore... Any carrying it with no round i chamber - i find racking it very hard...

  • @Sobspeed hmmm, well, am Slovak, and have over dozen friends work in PPU (police anti terrorist group), but never heard about any accident like that. BTW, running with bullet in chamber is not really smart.

But it's all about personal preferences.

Am going to get one soon. Just not decided yet :( CZ 75B or CZ 75 SP01 Phantom.

  • @vrso2 Well, those accidents were mainly with older models - If remember correctly police officers in Czech Republic are not allowed to carry round in chamber when on patrol duty, as a reaction on those accidents. But as almost all accidents they maybe caused by negligent manipulation with firearm, but it may not...

I personally do carry round in chamber in my 1911 (cocked and locked), the gun is designed to be carried like that... But modern CZ with fall safety - why not? :-)

  • @Sobspeed well, we have one saying in Slovakia " ak pan boh da, aj motika vystreli" ;)) I believe, u understand ;) heheh

  • What's better?The CZ-75 or a Beretta 92fs?

  • I've shot a couple of CZ 75's all of them are damn good handguns but I still prefer my Sig P220 personal taste

  • I have a CZ 75B and am very proud of it! The accuracy of the steel firearm is fantastic. Of course, everyone has an opinion...so grab one @ your local range and kill some paper with it! Thanks Nutnfancy, for another great vid!

  • what was the name of the song playing in the background at the very beginning?

  • I love how a review of a CZ pistol involves other pistols(sarcasm).

Nutnfancy, you will never convince me you that you like anything CZ.......lol.

Great video's man. You did a wonderful job. Me being a CZ fan, I would to see you do more CZ reviews in the future(maybe the 97b????..........please?).

Keep up the good work man. Thanks so much for your dedication.

  • Isn't the XD orignially a croatian design and still made there? I know Springfiled updated it to the "m". Great vid thanks for the info nutnfancy.

  • @msekavec you would be right. Outside the US, the Springfield XD is known as the HS2000

  • Does anyone here have experience with the older CZ models (75B, 85)? I'm looking into buying one, and have tried the 75B which I quite liked but some other opinions from people who are familiar with them would be very helpful. Also, due to my country's gun laws I will only be able to keep and use it at the range for 3 years after purchase so my POU right now is mainly "Range Gun" just so you guys know. Thanks in advance!

  • @dirkydirky757576 I have a CZ75b and love it, I've never had it missfeed with fmj or HP. I have had some lite strikes but that was after I put in a lighter hammer spring to lighten the trigger pull. My only complaint is like nutnfancy said, it can be tuff to find molded holsters, but they are out there. Love the inverse rail design, keeps the center of recoil low and very little muzzle flip. I will buy another sometime i'm sure, maybe an sp-01 40sw.

  • @msekavec

Thanks for your insight, the decision was between the CZ-75b and the Springfield XD-m and I have decided to purchase the CZ-75b!

  • I own a CZ Phantom, it's a wonderful gun and got me really into CZ's. But, like with Nuntnfancy said, it's not a good concealed carry pistol! Too big.

Now I have a P07 Duty for a carry gun CZ has pretty much became my brand, pretty sweet looking gun. I love how CZ seem to always come straight out of the box very accurate.

  • @nutnfancy What kind of holster do you use with the CZ? I am considering buying a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow but don't know who makes a good holster. I like the Blackhawk Serpa for level 2 but its not available for this model. Any good ideas? Thanks.

  • dude drop shot!

  • @2142Unknown Seeing a Glock used in an inappropriate manner has literally NOTHING to do with the quality of the weapon itself. I'm sure some people have seen steak knives, Toyota Camrys, and lamps used as murder weapons. That doesn't mean steak knives, Camrys, or lamps are bad things. That's odd and spurious logic.

If you don't like them because of personal taste or economic opinion, that's fine and totally legitimate. For someone using them improperly? Not a fair or logical assessment.

  • @2142Unknown You might want to go to a range that rents out pistols and try the XDM our the M&P. I'm personaly an XDM fan, but what ever you feel fits your hand and you can shoot better go w/ it. Shoot well and be safe, Bryce

  • cool thx it helps alot

  • I thought that springfield was the glock. but then I saw the glock. whew. :P

  • In a 2011 special collectors edition of guns and ammo the cz75 p0-7 duty they list caliber 40mm luger what the heck!!!

  • Can this be carried cocked and locked?

  • @gasitman Yes, it can also be carried not cocked and not locked. Lol, why do you ask?

  • nice music !!!

  • Ou jee Made in Czech Republic :)

  • does this gun have any major dislike to ammo like some guns do? i am looking in to the CZ 75b SA

  • Does anyone know if this gun has steel rails in the frame, or does the steel slide ride on the poly frame itself?

  • @square1bmxrider All polly framed pistols have steel inserts for the slide to ride on.

  • @Daytonaman675 Most but not all - Ruger P95

  • @nbdavis47 I stand corrected. Good luck trying to shoot that for 10k rounds though.

  • @Daytonaman675 I had one for a short time, gut about 500 rounds through before I sold it to buy a Glock 17. I will say though, a very good gun for the money.

  • @nbdavis47 Do you remember what you gave for it? I know putting a steel slide @ HR56 ish on a polly frame will always result in the frame wearing faster than another heat treated + forged frame or frame rails.

  • @Daytonaman675 Not sure, was about 2007 when I got it. About $350 maybe?

  • Hey nutn great video. Do you know if the CZ 75 kadet 22lr conversion kit from CZ will work with this specific version of the CZ 75? The reason that I am unsure is that this one is a polymer frame and it is part of the SP-01 line. Thanks.

  • Look at the classic orginal cz75/85b. before u bye this one. 16+1 is enough.

  • Comment removed

  • Great music

  • CZ-75 is my favorite handgun.

I used to be a "wood and steel revolver" kind of guy. CZ-75 changed my philosophy on handguns. Polymers are better. Higher capacity is better.

It is accurate as all Hell. Chambered in a good cartridge.

    Simply perfection.

  • @panicatthediscosuck And panic at the disco SUCKS!!!!!

  • Are you from Kansas City?

  • @Michaelurriola No, he isnt from Kansas, he's from somewhere more southern
