haven't liked anything The Killers have done since Hot Fuss but I love Brandon's new record. would have beeen a great Killers record had he held the songs for them like he planned, however may not have had the great old school country tinges that it ended up with, so I'm glad he did it as a solo record

The killers have confirmed they'll release a follow up album to day and age so they'll be back. Like itsellierose said, the others just wanted some time off. Ronnie went to do some drums for a country band whose name escapes me, and the others just wanted a breather. Plus Brandon needed some time to himself after his mom's death. They'll be back before too long :)

@PettyLegacy they haven't split up! The others just wanted a break because they've been working so much over the last seven years, but Brandon wanted to keep going.

He originally wrote these songs to be Killers songs, so obviously they have plans to release new stuff in the future if he was writing for them.

@niamahhaw no they havebnt broke up...they just played a show july 4th for the USO in washingon dc....they never even said they were breaking up...i dont know where those rumors came from...all they ever said was that they have been touring non stop for ten years and were a little bit tired of each other and wanted a break but that they were NOT breaking up.....people just want to dramatize everything

@PettyLegacy They never broke up! He wants to release some solo stuff, they already released the song "Boots" for their Christmas song this year. The drummer is doing solo work, the bassist is producing an album and Brandon released a solo album, they are just on hiatus.
