i just got the maschine and its cool but its missing basic functions you would expect it to have
it has no timestretch for stretching samples
and it lacks the ability to manually slice and assign samples
you can chop samples "manually" only within one of maschines preset chopping styles. The problem is that all the in/out markers are linked to the next sample (the end of one is the start of the next, etc) and they MUST go to the pads consecutively. you CANT choose a single sample and assign it
@encdee you can move/create/remove transient markers in any of the sampling modes then when you are done hit APPLY then go to MAP and delete or drag the samples in to any order you like you can even do velocity layers if you want
@iswearshes18 I'd say so. It is fairly easy for a beginner to pick up and play with it, as long as you have even the tiniest bit of musical interest/talent. good luck!
it keeps playing playing in the slicing mode... say if the sample is 1 min long it plays the full minute.. even wen i put the groupe setting to 1 velocity..
hit the sample button, then hit edit in the top left screen. now you can use the knobs to adjust the start and end point of the sample. duplicate to new pad and repeat
it doesn't label it but knob 1 below the right screen will control the zoom on the sample
thats how i do it but i also forgot to mention if you do everything he says in the video, before you hit apply you can hit button 1 above the right screen (edit) then you can manually adjust each individual slice maschine created
@cortezforever Fairly accurate, you can dial how sensitive you want it to be. and adjusting isn't painstaking as you just keep hitting the pad and twisting the nob till your happy =]

So this is better than MPC I'm guessing, is this maschine good for a begginer who has never worked with a major-brand beat machine?

Click modules, press the right arrow button and under the first screen change the last TYPE from one shot to ADSR or AHD.

SOMEBODY PLEASE... tell me how to stop audio from playing out. A simple kill all or stop button would do the job but I can't find one??!!

If I slice it in more than 16 parts and hit apply (software jumps into keyboard mode), how can I play the parts which aren't on the pads?
eleKtricBone 10 months ago
@eleKtricBone try using apply too , and mapping them all individually to each pad in different groups...haven't tried it but maybe it'll work
