81 ford didnt come with catilytic converters so ur not required to put one on

yeah, I'd like to know too.. did you leave both cats on? I think it might sound better if you had some kind of pipe coming out the tail end, also if you remove the second Cat.

This is depressing because my glasspack has the paint burned off almost, there's like a U where some of the paint was, it's funny to see it :p

no thee is no cat on this. goes headers, straight to glasspack. I actually just put on a tailpipe which helped the sound. i'll post a vid today.

@StickPeopleAndPuff a piece that the government puts on every car to keep the emissions down. they reduce power incredibly by preventing exhaust to escape as fast as it wants to and they only last about 120,000 miles maybe better if the air fuel mixture was never a problem.

They last for very long if you buy a quality cat and have your car tuned properly. (EFI engine management sensors, or Carb tuned)
