Hi Ms. Lola I have a question for you. I have baby hair around my hairline and nape. I having a hard time making my lace wig look natural any suggestions??
Hi-- Sorry, baby hairs present a problem when bonding lace wigs. The most natural appearance is going to be for someone with little or no hair in the bonding areas. An alternative is to use my band-aid method, which protects your baby hairs, but requires expert application for a realistic appearance.
Wow!!! You make it look so easy! I love it! I am a newbie at lace wigs and I just placed an order for my first full lace wig! I am so excited! Yay! Lol I have a question though, wht kind of lace is this and since you leave some of your lace out, can anyone see it bc its on your skin?
Thank you! The lace German French. It is very sheer, durable and blends well with the skin. You can however trim the lace back as far as desired as long as you do not cut into the hairline of the wig.
Thank you for giving a # on how much lace to leave. I have seen many videos where almost all of the lace was cut away which I thought defeated the purpose of a lace front wig.
im so upset!!..i ordered your adhesive cream and its says that it was left on my doorstep but i never received it!!...i dont want to spent another $50 on a cream that i might not receive again because somebody probably stole it off my doorstep..can i just use the no tape? i can just buy that at the store without having to order it...
Hi-- Dark hair will still show under medium brown lace. If you do not want to wear a full wig cap, you can attach a parting insert, made from a wig cap, on the underside of your wig and still have a natural scalp appearance.
Ms. Lola, I plan on buying a lace front wig for the first time. I want to remove the wig daily. What adhesive or tape should I use? Plus, what remover should I use? Thank you!
Mrs. Lola you are a beautiful woman! D id anyone told you you look just like P. Richard from THE COSBY SHOW? You have help me so much for my daughter and myself. I am so proud to be a beautiful black woman! A new fan, Tee..
Hey Ms. Lola is it true that whether you wear a lace front wig or a full lace wig, you have to shave a lil of your own baby hair in the front and back??
unfortunately, there is no way to add more lace once it has been cut away, however you may be able to have the front of the wig cut away and a lace frontal sewn to it to make a new hairline.
Man your videos are great i just cant afford to buy those wigs right now they have the synthetic lace wigs but im scared to try them you really temp me to go out and get one and do it for myself but i have been helping out with my parents bills since my mom got sick so im on a budget.
Ms. Lola would just like to know how are u able to wear ur heair in an updo if u have the stretch [anel from ear to ear? Does that show when u pull ur hair up? I also have a problem with my unit sliding backwards and I am using 99% alcohol. Am I suppose to let the no tape get all the way dry and if so how does it stick if its all the way dry?
I was wondering, because wig caps give me a headache, is there another way to hold my hair down under my wig. I do not have a perm and I have thick hair.
Ms Lola, I love your videos! So informative. The only thing is, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to cut ALL of the lace back to the hairline. . . you shouldn't see ANY lace at all. The whole cap is made of lace, so you would still be adhering lace to your hairline. It makes for a more seamless and natural appearance.
Hi-- How far you cut back lace depends on the degree of hairloss. The more hair loss, the closer the lace can be cut because a wider bonding area is possible. If someone has a low hairline or doesn't want to shave back their hairline, it is not possible to cut the lace all the way to the hairline of the wig or there will be no bonding area. I receive many emails where women are devastated because they have cut too much of the lace and can not bond their wigs as a result.
thanks Ms Lola I have a very low hairline and I was really worried my wig wouldn't look natural. Thanks for this tip I was wondering what I was gonna do :)
You said that you supply a video that shows how to cut a lace week. You said it woul be 3 weeks and now it is past 3 months. I just got my wig from you and I'm ready to cut. Please supply a video showing. Thx
I just want to say that this is great video for FLW. I have been wearing ponytails for years and it has started thinning out the front of my hair. a friend recommended that i buy FLW and watch Youtube for installation. I am so happy that I watch your video. You made it so easy for me to learn and thank you for being very precise with your direction. I can't wait to go wig shopping!!!!!!
I love your videos! I am curious. I wear wigs now,but I wear a wig cap and keep my hair braided. Is it possible to wear a wig cap and have my hair braided with a full lace wig or would I need to relax it?
hi my name is angie umm i were the lace wigs all wigs what i do i wear a wig cap and i putsome braids dont need to relax when you get the wig because its glued to ya head if you want you can prem it and wrap ya hair and then appy ya wig cap and go thats what i do just passing on a lil word good luck

I have alopecia and I'm interested in purchasing one of these wigs. My question is, since I would be wearing these "the rest of my bornd days", can you make one with gray hair? Thanks
Hi ms.lola I used the hair bond they had a my local store liquid gold and everytime it dries white, my lace now has a lot of glue on it thats white is there anyway I can get it repaired and have new lace put around it?
Hello there, I have watched your video and i cut my lace to 1/4 and when i applied the unit the lace was very noticable. Could that have been from the adhesive? I cut the to the perimeter and it looked better. I have a large forhead does it matter if i applied the unit a lil bit away from my hairline?
Hi-- The lace needs to be the color of your complexion. If it's not then you will be able to see it. It can also be the adhesive if you're applying it to thickly or if it does not dry clear and transparent. In applying the wig, you need to judge how far or close to place the hairline to your own by seeing at what distance that it looks natural.
I wanted to know if lace wigs will thin your edges. I have very thick hair but it is not very long. and i would like to try a full lace wig. will this hurt my natural hair?
Hello--- Lace wigs will not harm your natural hairline if installed correctly, however you may have to shave back your sideburns, temple points, and widows peak for them to bond properly.
It's what you prefer. . French lace is more durable than Swiss, yet not as transparent, but will blend well with your skin if the color closely matches your complexion. Swiss is very sheer and seems to disappear when it touches your skin, however it is fragile and requires careful handling when removing the lace and cleaning it of adhesives.
Thank you Ms. Lola! I'm new to lace wigs. I just purchased my first and have not installed it yet. Unfortunately, I watched this video too late. After reading and watching other sites, I followed their advice and trimmed the lace as close to the hair as I could. After seeing this, I see that I have done the wrong thing. Does this mean that my unit won't stay on as long? Thanks again for taking the time to post all of these vidoes. They are extremely informative!
Hi-- Unfortunately, the wig can not stay attached as it is designed to because the excess lace was needed to bond with your skin. Now, in order for your wig to bond to skin, you will have to pull the wig down past your hairline, and to do so will result in a unnatural looking hairline. I'm really saddened that so many sellers are instructing customers to cut the lace too far back. As a result wigs are rendered unwearable.
Hello again-- and thank you for the quick response. I have another problem. I can see my hairline thinning. When watching your video, I heard you say leave at least 1/4 to 1.2 inch of lace around the entire perimeter. I have a problem. The Salon cut it all off and when I remove my unit, the glue is all in th front line of my hair. I use the adhesive remover you suggested but I still have a hard time getting the glue out. Is there an easy way? I plan on buying another unit but until then, HELP!!!
Hello everyone---- I truly apologize for not responding to your comments. My email address changed a few months ago and I forgot to update my youtube info, so I've not been getting alerts when someone has posted comments.

How come you do not use the No Tape on the front of the wig? Also, what is it about the stretch between the ears that makes it so that you do not have to apply adhesive (if you wanted to apply the adhesive anyway, would that be alright?)
Hi-- No Tape is an excellent adhesive with strong bonding qualities, however it tends to turn whitish, therefore not being ideal for the front hairline. The panel behind the ear fits snug to the skin, thus eliminating the need for adhesive. If you prefer to use adhesive around the entire perimeter, I suggest the full lace cap.
