@gpoop23 Agreed, he is a GOD and that is an understatement. Rolling Stone magazine just last week listed the 100 greatest guitarists of all time and Eddie Van Halen was #8. I really think he is in the top 3 give or take and is my number 1 of all time. His tone is so instantly recognizable, the most recognizable of any guitarist ever. He truly innovated like no other, IMO.

This fucking song is just INHUMAN....the guitar, the drums and at the end Sammy's vocals....lift like that, Jesus Christ! I mean never ever take away from Eddie and Alex but DLR, although in his own right is awesome, could never his those highs man. This is just a face melter. indeed. i saw an interview with Ed years ago....and he pretty much admitted to what you just stated....

with the exception of "Inside" and "Get Up"......which doesn't mean Dave wasn't at least partially involved with those songs, either.....he just didn't mention those two.....but, he definitely DID mention "Summer Nights" and "Good Enough" as being songs that they already had "worked up" with the "previous singer" = Dave
