  • wow your sense of melody and phrasing leaves me speechless every time, love these videos! but where do you find these backing tracks youre playing over?

  • @SixStringSolid Thanks a lot for your very kind remarks! I make the backing tracks with Band-in-a-Box.

    Paul

  • Love it! Beautiful rendition.

  • you're playing some really nice lines.... great recording... and i like the vamp at the end

  • Hot!

  • I commented on this vid before, but wanted to say again, I have really been enjoying this. So smooth! This video is this weeks showcased video on my channel. Love it!

  • @jazzconnoisseur Xavier, thanks a lot! Hope all is well with you.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • nice, I like the hint at "everyone knows it's windy" at the end!

  • you absolutely a pro, pro licks pro improv

  • It's a shame you have to post a video of you playing with a pre-recorded track like a Jamey Abersold track. Students play along with these tracks. You are a very good player but hearing you with play-a-long diminishes your talent. Don't you play with real people? It's more challenging to interact with real humans with their faults and all rather than a recording. I'm just saying....

  • Thanks a lot for your feedback. I absolutely agree that playing with others is far better and I always have lots more fun whenever I do. I'm not a pro and do this for my enjoyment, so sometimes I just have to do my best with what fits my schedule.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • i like your smooth style

  • Hey Paul can I vote 10 stars? ok 2 times 5stars.......... great stuff! I'm very impressed.....,some very lovely lines movin around in this tune...KEEPON STRUMMIN........DALLAS

  • Thanks Sunnyd! I appreciate it.

    Paul

  • So perfect, relaxed and confident playing! It is true what the other people who commented say: you really have perfect timing.

    What a pleasure to listen!

  • Amund, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for those very nice comments!

    Paul

  • your timing is so good :) i want to learn timing so bad :(

  • Thanks a lot for your comment!

    Paul

  • did u use metronome to practise timing? because your timing is so perfect

  • Thanks again. Yes, I did practice with a metronome quite a bit. Not so much any more, but I did so for many years.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • THanks Paul

  • Calmly swingin' as hell. You don't get exited at all, but your lines are absolutely thrilling. Nice loop at the end. Great job! Jogi

  • Thanks Jogi! I really appreciate it!

    Paul

  • Victor, thanks yet again for your suppoirt and encouragement my friend.

    Paul

  • Paul,

    Oh yes...

I could listen to your Artful work 24/7.

Super clean and Melodic if I may say so.

    -Basement Bob

  • Thanks Bob!

    Paul

  • Where do you get the nice notes from?I wish I could come across them at least once in a while!!Fantastic as always!

  • Thanks a lot Paul! I just try not to hit too many wrong notes... ;-)

    Paul

    Paul

  • that one light up my day, thanks!

  • Thanks violazim!! Glad you liked it!

    Paul

  • Yes Paul you nailed this one man,and the first comment you got"very listenable" is a great understatement, this is top notch playing man with very nice musical lines and it swings from beginning to end, that's my sincere opinion, greets my friend. Victor.

  • Victor, thank you! Your comments are always so encouraging!

    Paul

  • good sounds...very listenable...

  • Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Paul

  • That was Great! I love the way you started the solo, it sounded like bop straight out of the fifties. I'm blown away by this performance. Excellent!

  • Thanks Steve!! I really appreciate your comments!

    Paul

  • i honestly dont know when ive heard this done better PAUL! your deffinetly for real!

  • Freddy, thanks a lot!! I was just trying to make the changes without making too many mistakes ;-)

    Paul

  • Paul, the ending hinted to me of George Benson. You got "Windy" in the end too. Great lines... I'm going to take this one apart for my soloing.

    Jack.

  • Thanks a lot Jack! That ending is a 2-chord vamp (G & F) that sort of sounds like the chords to 'On Broadway' (or 'Tequila').

    Paul

  • Paul, You sound great! That's a definite keeper!

    Polly

  • Thanks Polly! Great to see you here!!

    Paul

  • Smooth playing, Mr. DiLorenzo! Cool phrasing with a nice feel. A great tune, indeed! 8-)

  • Thanks a lot Scott! I truly appreciate it!

    Paul

  • Cool! I get to hear you playing the tune again as I peruse your Response to my Comment! Do you ever listen to Jimmy Bruno? He's one of my favorite "living" Guitarists and he only lives 60 miles or so from where I live.

  • Oh yes, Jimmy Bruno is a monster!

  • Your opinion of Mr. Bruno has gained you additional respect from this lowly Guitarist. Dang, I didn't think I could respect you any more than I've learned to already! Jimmy Bruno is as funny as Hell to see Live! He curses like crazy. I remember when I first heard of him, I thought, "Who the Heck is Jimmy Bruno?" It was a year or more later that I actually heard him play. I was blown away! I thought, "Damn, I could've been listening to this Cat for a year already!"
