The best way to get 500 is to have the puck go over the line. Coaches, announcers and players always say they want to get the puck in deep, JR did that, got a lucky bounce. More importantly, the Sharks got a win.

I'm so happy to be able to cheer for a man like JR. Not only does he play this game with unbelievable passion and fire, he is the greatest class act in sports. During tonites Sharks vs. Wild game Kurt Foster broke his leg while he and Torrey Mitchell raced towards an iced puck. The whole while that Foster was being tended to/carried off, Jeremy Roenick was right by his side. Fuck the fact that he's American...As far as I can tell, he's the greatest hockey player I have EVER seen.

The NHL allows teams to work this out between themselves. For example, the Canadiens came through recently, and wore their "home" reds on the trip. No big deal for the home team as they have all their gear, but the road teams want to minimize the amount of gear they're travelling with. (one set of jerseys vs. two)

Why would teams switch? partly for the home team to show off it's road jersey, and partly to see the road team's non-white jersey.
