  • I used to be a pathetic wretch, Then I took this song to the brain. Now I'm out here fighting dragons. WITH MY BARE HANDS.

  • tim barlow can suck my nuts ripper does this way better, in fact it doesnt even compare barlows gotta go be a selfish motherfucker and try and "redo" this song w/him in it, its fine with owens dont need any other version

  • @KatimSuccubus

    ...Tim Barlow?

  • i love how this album tells a story, i love this album because it's really heavy and hardcore.

  • Hail the ripper

  • theres 1 dislike because the person was overwhelmed by tims scream that their eyes melted out and ear drums exploded and skull melted as they fall and hit the mouse when it was over dislike and meant to be on like.

  • The song "Violate" if sung by Tim Owens would definitely been shit, and this song if sung by burlow would have sucked, they are both good for different things.

  • @Mookle123 lol not true theres an ep floating around on here of this song with barlow and its very good..... mind you not nearly as good as owens, but it is still very good

  • @Mookle123 actually, tim did good on violate live. and matt's redo of this song was good. but your point still stands.

  • Classic.

  • Holy fucktank will you guys stop spamming my inbox. Look at the rest of this page, it is only replies to my comment. Jesus fucking fuckrist

  • @trashstop You have become very popular as it seems...don't worry, everyone makes mistakes, I'm with you dude.

  • @evermetal2 Thanks. I'm not a big Iced Earth fanatic, so I don't buy all their cds. I seriously thought overture was an album, I mean look at that cover art. It's too beastly to be an ep.

  • @trashstop I read you. Still, next time you are not sure about something, check it out first.

  • false ten thousand strong is most definitely on framing armageddon

  • great song.... just heard it for the first time... its awesome...

  • matt barlow's version was so much better. i have nothing against ripper but it just seem like when ever he's a replacement singer, the fans end up wanting the origina singer. it happened in preist and iced earth.

  • this osng is a massive win!

  • I love rippers vocals but schaffer writes very generic and boring riffs. Barlows voice give those riffs life while rippers are just there to go along with it. He is a fantastic vocalist but once again was in shoes he could not fill

  • Can't we all just agree that Barlow has the songs he does best, and Owens has the others for himself? Honestly, they're both good, and they both have different styles. Come on.

  • Ripper's a damn good singer.

  • ive started to listen to iced earth and someone tell me what album i should start with

  • @themetalmop all their albums are good. But I would have to say their album Dark saga would be good or Horror Show.

  • Something wicked this way comes.....or if your looking for some slightly darker numbers...Horror show

two real easy listen albums with a olid iced earth sound

  • dark saga iced earth somthing wicked comes this way and the crubeld man

  • tim ripper owens is an amazing singer u cant ever say hes a fail long live tim the ripper

  • i played this song over and over and over again on my mp3 night and day this song has mind blowing riffs.

i cant stop listening to this song this is one of my favorite songs ever by Iced Earth

  • TIM RIPPER: OK

    Matt: SUPER

  • Tim Ripper Owens + Iced Earth = WIN.

  • nawe....id love to see barlow actaully try n sing rippers song properly he fucks them up so hard...ripper doens't really fuck matts songs he hits all the notes he just can't express the same emotion matt did....but no man can.

  • barlows vocals are so much better in iced earth than in pyramaze

not that they were bad in pyramaze, but their singer before barlow just fits them more

  • SCREAMING IN AGONY,CRIES FILL THE AIR!!!! I laugh in Maniacal Epicness >:). Nice upload my friend ICED EARTH FTW \m/.

Hail from United States of America :D

  • Thanks. This song is awesome! My favorite song from this album is "Ten Thousand Strong"!Rock on!

    \m/ (-_-) \m/

  • @trashstop Overture of the wicked is a EP, I think a EP is made to promote some songs of the album(including the upcoming single). Technically, it doesn't count as a studio album. "Ten Thousand Strong" was made for the "Framing Armageddon" album.

  • trashstop is right, cause i have "Framing Armageddon" and "Ten Thousand" is on it.

  • @trashstop Track 8 is Ten Thousand Strong.

  • @trashstop It is on Framming Armageddon I have the album.

  • @trashstop yes it is its track 8 on mine

  • @trashstop ten thousand strong is most definitely on framing armageddon buddy

  • @trashstop

Clearly you didn't buy Framing Armageddon, as it is most definitely on there. Thinky before speaky

  • @trashstop

Sorry... but Ten Thousand Strong IS on the album. I don't know which "Framing Armageddon' album you've listened to but... yeah =)

  • @jshuen Look under my fucking comment, asshole. 11 months is plenty of fucking time to learn a bit of useless information about a band I don't like that much. Stop spamming my inbox with replies to a year old comment and let me read the messages that matter and not your stuck-up bullshit.

  • @trashstop lol

  • wtf...

  • who does the sirens in the backround? is that the mat barlow guy or is it someone else

  • Honestly, I don't know, but one thing's for sure: Its not Barlow since he wasnt there for that album. Try to look it up on Wikipedia or Google or something.

  • Tim (ripper) Owens xD and if you asked me Matt is a fucking awesome vocalist but, Ripper really fit this song a hundred times better, he definitely needed to do this one haha, not matt

  • @bestofbeast666 He did do the vocals for what would become the first album with Ripper. Some were kept as backing vocals.

  • @bestofbeast666 its tim ripper owens of course!

  • @MetalHead1058 Ripper owens

  • Best song from the album

  • Watching Over Me is very emotional... That's my favorite but others kick ass too :-D

  • ...Whoa.

I prefer the Barlow version. I much prefer the Barlow version.

  • I second that whole-heartedly. It sounds a thousand (ten thousand? haha) times better than this one, Rippers low range just don't hold a candle to Barlow.

  • Never heard of this band before. Bought the album yesterday and now i think they KICK ASS! Love it 5/5.

  • Ur right, they kick ass! This album is awesome, but you should try listening to songs with the original vocalist(Matt Barlow). He is better. So for albums, I would suggest HORROR SHOW or SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES(I didnt hear a lot of albums from them). Matt Barlow did awesome songs, like: "Dracula", "Melancholy(Holy Martyr)",and "Watching Over Me". Anyways, Tim Owens did a pretty good job,but if you want to know the "real" Iced Earth, listen to songs with Matt on vocals.

  • I can tell you right now: John Schaffer is a great song writer.

  • My all time favorite Iced Earth song

  • Awesome. Hail Iced Earth.

  • i love this song.UAAAAAA!

    me encantaaa!!!
