Glider pilots can be crazy for even the lightest of scratch on their gliders. I can only immagine the fillings of the pilot after this landing looking again and again the sctratch area (even if it was repaired) and see non perfect areas.
Ha ha, grass strip! @surfinglexie you must be from some flat, grassy country in Europe. Off to the side is uneven ground, potholes and saltbush. Trust me, the strip is *only* place to land that wouldn't destroy the plane, wheels up or wheels down.
@surfinglexie im sure you know but informing the pilot wouldnt really make a difference, he cant go around, and some random bystanders sometimes dont have the means to find a radio in the time that they see it.....
