The Mustang's 5th gear is an overdrive, 0.7 ratio, for better MPG. It is not really a top speed gear, so you are going to bog down a bit in 5th, or, need a downslope to get it to accelerate.

Go to Canada. Once you cross the border the dash detects the change from Imperial units to Metic and your speedometer will display units in kph.

Actually, the Ford GT and the Mustang Shelby GT500 share the same engine, 5.4 litre

the only thing the two share are the heads. the GT engine is cast out of aluminum and uses eaton-lysholm supercharger. the GT500 uses an iron block and also has an eaton supercharger but is of the roots-type for better low end.

This is as I mentioned before a 2006 Mustang GT. And Yes this video was shot in Canada and therefor this specific car is in kilometers per hour not Miles per hour (the 240 kph you're seeing roughly equates to 150 mph)
