He killed her because she lied about many things like making up sob stories and she didnt want have sex with him. That is why he killed her too. He is a sick psycho that had a illness to kill people.
Awww! It's a shame, this case has bothered me for years. Betty Short was 22 years, 5 months, 17 days old when she died. (a kid) She'd now be 87 years, 10 months, 20 days old today if she were still alive. And ya, Steve Hodel (cop) believes his father (doctor) who also knew Betty Short, killed her, and he has compelling evidence. A photo of Elizabeth, along with painting/drawings whatever, of nude women in that same position, etc...

@40son I agree, mr. Hodel shows a lot of respect to Elizabeth, sadly he doesn't have enough solid evidences showing that his father was the killer.
