  • This formula is getting popular like E=mc^2.

  • Absurd

  • I estimated that there are around 162,000,000 planets that hold intelligent species; 80 million planets that hold intelligent species that are currently developing primitive tools; and less than 10 planets that hold intelligent species that are right below a type 1 civilization status (like us). Let's just hope that we can survive to reach a type 1 civilization, because it's very rare that any extraterrestrial civilization will reach a type 1 or type 2 civilization.

Those 4 billion people are not thinkers.

    Those 11,972 people are.

  • There is currently 10,852 intelligent lifeforms in the universe.

  • fuck war, space is so much cooler

  • @fredlazr soon itll be fuck space wars the nebula galaxie is for me

  • @hier222 very true brother. very true lol

  • (z) in the other hand is the continuum which is all the distance in the universe being the 3rd dimension(x,y,z).. when you fall into a black hole your body or structure of you stretch to molecular size and you completely vanish into what??? i say on the other side of the hole is a different continuum(z) in which your in a different part of the universe in which your stretched molecules are set off to be! im just a high school grad. so don't be harsh on my opinion and if you know try to explain

  • anybody can explain black holes? i had a theory once that space(x) and time(y) is just a graph and that black holes are just a hole in space that either takes you into the future or back to the past.. the time hole would depend on how massive the black hole is...einstein said that to bend space you need as much power as a supernova emits and boom a supernova just happens to be a black hole...

  • were not an advance civilization many beings on this world care only about there social status in this world also being self centered. why do you think that Facebook, twitter, etc. is popular. it makes humans feel like they have a place in this world..We humans should evolutiononize out of this and focus our minds into knowledge.. money is power on earth but in reality knowledge is power in the universe..

  • @florentino02 So true. Humans are naturally self-centered.

  • It does not answer how many civilizations coexist with us at the same point in time. They could have gone extinct millions of years ago, or might not have yet evolved from the mud on their homeworlds. It's highly unlikely that more than one advanced civilization exists in one galaxy at the same time. Also, this equasion suggests that a civilization, if not destroyed, will keep going ...forever? When does civilization end without disaster? Does it end?

  • The Big Bang Theory got me here lmao.... Are you familiar with the drake equation?

  • @IAngelitoI The one that estimates the odds of making contact with extraterrestrials by calculating the product of an increasingly restrictive series of fractional values such as those stars with planets, and those planets likely to develop life? N equals R times FP times NE times FL times FI times FC times L?

  • you see the only problems with all this is that we are continually using our planet`s facts and figures ...IF we try to contact other beings our facts and figures mean NOTHING because other beings have their own systems...it is really madness to continually think that others will even understand us as everything is entirely different...think about this and do not write to me with opposite words as you will be ignored...and BLOCKED

  • Very cool inforgraphic.

What's the music playing in the background?

  • a basic explanation but needs expansion, there must be a part II???

  • Nice! Of course it IS complete since nobody really knows what those numbers are yet. So the answer ranges from 0 to millions.

Hey ibuildworlds, really nice animated inforgraphic! could you tell me what software was used to make it?

  • It`s uncomplete??!! What`s the point??!! Unbelievable

  • @gsapriza

    It is complete --'

  • @gsapriza INcompleted
