I love Supercharger. Yeah obviously everybody's going to hate it since it's a Nu Metal record but it's a damn fine one at that. Burning Red in my opinion lost the heaviness but it was still good. Just the fact that Supercharger is compared to St.Anger is fucking sad. St.Anger sucked horribly.
Take a band like Machine head... An amazing band. Let them make a Nu metal album(or more Nu metal sounding) and you get Supercharger. If the fans that loved the first few Machine Head albums can't get into it... so what. Machine head proved one thing. They can do that sound better than bands like Disturbed, Mudvayne, and slipknot. And they can make epic pure metal albums too. Supercharger is my favorite Machine head album. All the rest of there albums are close to it... but I love supercharger.
I'm surprised of Robb's words about this record, especially after hearing his opinion on "The Burning Red"... I mean, "Supercharger" is definitely not the greatest MH album, but c'mon, "The Burning Red" is BY FAR Machine Head's worst album.
@fcarrascoheine Burning Red had Rob's best vocal performance by far, his best lyrics, and some of their grooviest and heaviest tracks. (Exhale the Vile, Devil, Five, Nothing Left), and it was a much more complete album than SC.

The problem with Supercharger is that it lacks an identity. 'The Burning Red' was a Machine Head record tweaked for the nu-metal era. 'Supercharger' was a limp compromise between the old and new styles. They would have been better off making another nu-metal style album, or doing a balls out modern thrash record, but they failed by trying to do both simultaneously, and it almost killed them.
The other problem was the flat production and performance. The songs sound 10 times better live.
Sorry. Really dont like this album...better than most of the shit that calls itself music out these days out today anyways LOOKIN AT YOU BIEBER! LOOKIN AT YOU!!!
Supercharger would be a great album if it were released by anyone else but the reason it gets slammed so much is because it's a MH record. There are some really good songs on there but when you compare Supercharger to monsters like Burn My Eyes, The More Things Change and The Blackening it just goes limp. I love Machine Head - always have - but this is the album I listen to the least.
ABSOLUTLY THE WORST ALBUM IN EXISTENCE But im just saying that for all the assholes who hate it but personally i love it altogether Best songs 8 White Knuckle Blackout 7 Bulldozer 6 Deafining Silence 5 Blank Generation 4 Kick 'em when your down 3 Crashing Around You 2 American High 1 Supercharger Alright Songs Only The Names and All In Your Head worst songs Nausea Trephination Declaration Brown Acid
Even though The Burning Red was kinda nu metal, I personally thought it was an awesome album. Supercharger is easily the worst album, sometimes I just pretend like that album was never made lol. But yeah , albums like Burn My Eyes, The More Things Change, Through The Ashes Of Empires, & The Blackening are definately Machine Head at their best.
"Worst MH album" still means "top class" to me. I wouldn't call Supercharger nu metal, The Burning Red - yes, but not Supercharger. But I don't care what would I call, as long as I like it, I listen to it and don't care 'bout that.
I love this album!

Interesting that a Groove metal/Thrash metal band like Machine head can do Mu-metal better than most Nu metal bands.

Supercharger, even though it's fucking awesome, is their shittest album. Don't get me wrong I love it, but it's their worst one to date.
