ive never rely liked a gerber ther nice but i gravate to other brand particularly buck and Winchester

but yes gerber is a good brand and i do have like 2 of there knifes

will i dont know why i seem to gravitate to tanto point and serrated knifes for some reason.

it doesnt mater to me about hunting because i dont hunt and im vegetarian.

but i ges serrations are useful to me and tanto points are good nice for some detailed whittling i do

ohh and one more thing do you have a fire by friction set of not you should make one and do a video of it it would be relly cool.

i have one its defenitly a difficult skill to master but worth it once you pop your first spark

Thanks for sharing Will. To be honest when I first saw it I thought....CRKT M16.....LOL. I used to carry a Tanto point knife for yrs and never really got that excited about it, like you say....I wouldn't take it hunting.....LOL. Thanks for sharing and Take Care my friend :-))

Pros: great blade shape

Cons: soft steel

the pivot screw is extremely soft metal & you need an allen wrench one one side and a star wrench on the other side to you can rotate in opposite directions to loosen or tighten (After you have removed the pocket clip). This pivot is VERY EASY to strip

Has non existent handle retention

I really need to give the tanto point blades a fair shot. I've tended to shy away from them because they haven't seemed to be the most functional design for the majority of the applications that I'd use it for. What do you find are the major pros of it?

@intenseangler This point is designed mainly for piercing. So far, it works great opening boxes, oranges and cordage.

i bought this knife but in jr. it wasnt supposed to be a jr. but any way i love it i cary it every where. i some what abused it and got a small chip but nothing that would relay effect the use of the blade. and personally i dont like surations so that put it down a little for me

Very nice review. I have a Ka bar with a tanto blade as part of my LBE, it's one mean looking knife.

Nice lookin blade, I got my son n law that same set for Christmas. He seems to like it and the Gerber Crucial. I have a Crucial FAST and I use the snot out of it. Have a great weekend.
