  • when you have bought the boat which is the expensive thing, the costs are low if you dont break anything,as for fuel we used anything from 40 litres to 100 litres a day + oil the bigger the engine - boat the more fuel you use

  • I,ve been looking at getting one. how much do they cost to run for about a year? & are they fuel efficent?

  • @lukewhiting1994 hahahaha fuel efficent? i have had a phantom 21 with a EFI, and ring 20 with an XR2, phantom 23 with a 225 pro max and a ring ranger 25 with a 6.2 mercruiser. lets say the V8 was cheaper to run!

those racing engines can use up to 120 quids worth of fuel an hour! hence why i dont have one anymore. plus the 3-4l it costs a year to keep it somewhere.

my ideal set up would be a light weight phantom 21 with a honda 225, all jacked up running a chopper! speed with econamy,

  • yes that was us its taken all summer to get all 3 of us out there hoping to go out 1 last time befor it gets too cold ,wet and windy this year, but we will be back at Hayling next year for some more fun, maybe with bigger engins and hope to have a few more phantoms with us .
