@ScabbedAngel16 Naoki was producer for DDR for a very long time. Since SuperNOVA, he has not been the sound producer. He likely left being at the top of the DDR team to develop a game that capitalizes on the shortcomings of DDR, that being the fact that there's no real dancing in DDR. See, Naoki isn't dissing DDR, a game that was very much his brainchild, but saying "look here, we've gone and taken a working idea and made it much better!"

@Empathy28190 Actually, this has little to do with DDR, and more to do with ParaParaParadise, a game from 2000, which was aimed to teach people popular Para Para routines (Parapara is a type of Japanese club dance). In fact, the Night of Fire routine in the other videos is that actual parapara routine for Night of Fire that is danced in clubs in Japan, and was also part of Konami's game in 2000.

@Empathy28190 However, Naoki went out of his way on Facebook to make it clear there would be different genres and dance styles, and that the game wasn't really paraparaparadise 3rd mix. So, while you're right about DDR's shortcomings and everything, this game is very much NOT taking DDR and making it better, it's taking a concept they've already done before in Japan that was completely independent of DDR (and konami, since they didn't invent the club dances) and making it better.

@HuntersX2NCreations did you know they do that in Japan and Korea too? We're not the only country to have DDR freestyle, and we certainly didn't invent it either. The difference is that this game ENCOURAGES real dancing play while DDR never did and never will.
