oh wow! its my dream to see a show on broadway and i'd love to see how to succeed... glad you had fun and nice to know you thought daniel was so amazing! :) hopefully i'll get a chance to see it before he leaves the show!
@SnickersInTheBarn No.... its just that I felt like she had... and a pretty girl becoming fat is one of the worst tragedies that can happen.... No offense meant, if you're obese: its perfectly normal, and implies nothing more than weak willpower.... My sincere apologies.
@hmg143 -_- I'm 5 ft 4 and 100 pounds but that's IRRELEVANT because you've completely missed the point. If you only care about her looks, LEAVE. No one wants you here.
@SnickersInTheBarn Oh.... you're a girl. Don't be blind, miss. Why do you think she gets so many views? And I'm NOT saying its ONLY because of her looks.... she's a really effective speaker. But... once more, you're a girl.... so I will not argue with you. You are right. I am wrong.
Literally walked over to my book shelf because I have a book called 'Speak' sitting there and it was my favorite book when I was younger, low and behold it's the same one you mentioned =0 *must re-read*
My perception of the price of musicals/plays was so thrown off by prices at the West End. I became so used to getting tickets for £25 or less (and good seat at that price even). But then I went to see some shows on Broadway to find basically all seats for more than $100. Craziness. Anyway, I'm really hoping to get to see Dan on Broadway sometime soon!
FYI the next time you're in NYC seeing a show, most have student rush or general rush which = about $30 per ticket. that might STILL be more expensive than West End, I know you all have prices that make me drool.......
I was in New York just one week before you for my break and I also saw How to Succeed! I loved Dan Radcliffe as well and thought he was amazing, but I feel like Chris Hanke was my favorite as Bud. : )
Favorite line: "That's ridiculous Bud, this is an American production!"
My Tesco don't care, as long as you're not wearing anything revealing or offensive.Ionce saw the sexiest guy wearing the dorkiest PJ's in ASDA once. Made my night lol
I felt quite old at the event as well! Though it's good to know that all the wee ones about, reading the same books we love and participating at such a young age. I even saw a few nerdfighters that looked about 10 years old- adorable!
And I must see How to Succeed now, I had many doubts before this video. Thanks!
I saw How to Succeed over break as well! I was also surprised by how well he danced but he really was spectacular. It was such a different role from the ones he played in Equus and Harry Potter, so it was great to see him do something new, especially because he did it so well! I absolutely loved the show! (And it was hilarious to see how tiny he was--did you notice his feet dangling when he sat down?)
I'm a bit scared to read Wintergirls, because I don't deal well with realistic depictions of mental illness/eating disorders, but I simultaneously REALLY WANT to read it, given all the praise it's received.
Maybe it'll be a good way to confront my uneasiness about the topic.
They say new youtubers should upload a lot but I've been really demotivated. When I start making something I think of Libya, I feel I should be making a video about that but I'll never do it justice. Gah. I've never actually seen a musical, the only play I've seen in theatre was Othello and Much Ado
On a happier note, I made 54 cupcakes tonight. Didn't mean to but now I've an overload of them! That part was irrelevant to this video though. But quite nice and tasty!
How to Succeed is such a great first Broadway musical to see! That's classic Frank Loesser, Pulitzer Prize-winning, Tony-winning sheer brilliance. I saw it on March 12th and Dan was so fantastic. You're right about his comedic timing, especially on that typical Finch smile to the audience. Grand Old Ivy and Brotherhood of Man got standing ovations when I saw it. I cried when he first came on. I'm so proud of him! I remember when he was 11. His career is going smashingly.
That was exactly my reaction when i saw it. I saw it on Feb 26th i think it was and omgosh it was amazing. Alan Rickman was also there so i had a bit of a fangirl moment. At the end of Grand Old Ivy poor Dan was so out of breathe, so we gave him a standing ovation :P it was adorable.
WEIRD, I saw the show Saturday night! I thought it was so much fun. And he was wonderful (also, the rest of the guys ensemble was absurdly talented, holy crap). So good. I don't know if you'd ever have interest/time to see it again, but they do $30 student tickets that are supposed to be good, but you have to be there early to get them, obviously.
I love this enthusiastic, creative, all-over-the-place side of you. It's inspiring. I'm interested to see what you have to say on Lybia, because personally, I'm trying to keep up on everything and catch up on the history as well and it's making less and less sense the more I read. That's politics, I guess. Off to find books by Laurie Halse Anderson now.

Did this current production of"'How To Succeed In Business..." have any interesting comic commentary on contemporary business practices?
