The RROC (Rolls-Royce Owners' Club) has several regions througout the US. Each region schedules activities to learn about our cars and just have fun with our cars in general. The upshot of this is having many RR and Bentley motorcars gathered in one space. It's quite a sight for those who have never seen a Rolls-Royce close up, forget about seeing scores of them.
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
yhes are real rolls royce. the new ones are a german fake, a perfume of wood and leather are sprayed before delivery because there is so much plastic yuk cheap and plasticy
Nice vid. I rated your video too. Check out my videos on auto detailing and tell me what you think. I think auto clubs and auto detailing go good together.
Silver Cloud is my favorite... I collect Caddies (I noticed somebody sneeked one in at the end of the line there lol).. but someday....someday!!! I must have a Rolls.
very very nice i love these cars too bad i cant afford one ! they had nice body lines and rode nice big as houses powerfull engines hell in america we USED to make cars like that ie the Packard cords and Cadilliac back in the 30's but era gone bye bye just like the song said in my life I LOVED THEM ALL!
ROLLS ROYCE cars of the past? A small company that often struggled to survive building the best built cars in the world. A small work forse of dedicated well trained craftsman producing handbuilt quality and engineering excellence that was second to no one. That was the reason to buy one.
Rolls of today? A ugly pretentious looking product owned by a huge corporation that sells it under the old reliable rolls royce name. No class. Just vulgar - like the people who buy it.
Whoa whoa...wait a sec..this was on Hood River, Oregon? What? :D Was it drawing owners from Portland and Seattle? I mean, out that direction in Oregon is fairly sparsly populated. I'm down in Corvallis and I think I've only seen one non-rental Rolls-Royce (a dark red Silver Shadow) out on the street in my area, and I've lived here my whole life. I can't imagine there'd be many of these in north-central Oregon
This was in Hood River at our Lavender Farm. It was a RROC event with cars coming from all over the states, perhaps International.?. It was a real joy.
No offense, but it seems like an obscure place to hold the event. I only know where Hood River is because I'm from Oregon. Does Portland ever have gatherings?
By the way do you know of the couple in Independence who own a Phantom III? Its a sedan with a division window. It doesn't have the typical wheelbase of a limousine, though, so you wouldn't guess it was a limo till you got up close. They also own a Silver Cloud I. They're the owners of the Speakeasy Restaurant in downtown Independence, a 1920's-themed place. They often park the Phantom III on the street out in front.
I don't. I've heard of the Speakeasy Restaurant but haven't been there. Sounds fun. I have another video of vintage autos, Fords mostly, pre-1921, that came out to our farm last month. When I can get to it I will post that video too.
Are there aftermarket disappearing hood ornament kits? The Phantom has the hood ornament that slides down into the grille when you turn off the car. That seems like it'd be a great feature to retrofit to older Rolls-Royces, too..
Yes and no. A rental agency I know, he has two RRs in the fleet: 1981 Silver Spirit and a 1956 Silver Cloud. He drove the Spirit to the coast (Newport, I think) with his wife for some kind of outting, I think it may have been just a day. He came back to the parked car and saw somebody had tried to pull off the hood ornament -- there were dents forward of the pedestal where it'd been tilted forward. Lets face it, people in Oregon would steal these for meth money. Would be nice to stop that crap.
A Rolls mechanic once told me, "before you buy a Rolls make sure you're willing to spend $2,500 to $4,000 per year for maintenance, otherwise the car will give you a lot of trouble.
A Cloud I or II, the bumpers differentiate. The III has twin headlights. The Mulliner Park Ward Chinese Eye and Spur variants of this mod3l are now the big dollar cars
all i have is a stupid purple lamborghini roadster from 2006 and an porshe cayenne turbo and a aston martin v12. My cousin has a 2008 rolls royce phantom. what do you have hrlavendir
Such a beautiful dream! My car is a Saab 900 C which has 410,000 kilometers on the clock and still purs like a kittten. But great Scott, so much beauty in your film!
His other car is a Toyota, it says on the old Rolls plate , thats much more reliable than these old crates. Ask the man that owned five of them !!

Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick. I'd forgotten what you meant by the hood. The best method is to be able to remove the Flying Lady completely
