Nicole is confident with her soaring and feminine alto , and she wows the audience without the need for extravagant dancing and kookie outfits. imo nicole is the better musician and gaga the better performer...the thing is that gaga's act gets old whereas nicole's is timeless(you come back to the same video time and time again).

I saw her perform at a small venue in Santa Fe last night and she and her band were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!

Her music mirrors that of Roy Orbison (whom she is a huge fan of) and she sings with the same kind of power and energy as a young Patti Smith, especially during her harder material.  Not to mention she's unbelievably beautiful! She deserves tons of success and more. I wish her and her band all the best!

@candelise Don't know her personally, have been to a couple of her shows and spoke briefly with her afterward, and she's always a delight and VERY appreciative of her audience. About her first album, I am in total agreement with you, it should have been HUGE. It was the first album I actually got excited about in over 10 years, but got absolutely NO promotion from Columbia. I hope this new company she has signed with will put out a little more effort into publicizing her.

I saw this girl, or woman - she could either be 20 or 30 - at a free concert near Pitt and was thoroughly entertained. She's very talented, has a captivating aura, and she's nice to look at too...beautiful. After a song she was doing a little side chat with the audience and talking about Jersey, her hometown. I kept screaming "Joyzee" in my drunken state and she said "No, that's Long Island." She said this with a straight face - I think I annoyed her - and it killed my buzz. Still love her.
