Most of the tourist of today ( especially Americans...) tend to forget that France is a country, not only a tourist destination, we have our own troubles, our lives ... So, when you see a guy from outside who doesn't even try to be polite, or even try to speak at least 2 words in French, you don't wanna be friendly with them.
