doubles tennis question about rules. Can the player at the net help their teammate's ball over the net by waving their raquet under the ball to create an upward flow of air? I realize the possibility that the air flow would have very little effect, but sometimes it could be just enough to get the ball to clear the net.

Murphy states that the team that controls the center wins. But then he goes on to say serve, then run to the alley to cover the angle. Sorry, but this is a MASSIVE contradiction. He has just confused doubles players everywhere. Good job, Murph!

@circuitdesign you obviously need to cover the angle shots, it doesn't mean it diminishes the importance of the center, a team that controls the center better doesn't mean it's a team that just hangs around in the middle. You actually need to run to the alley to have better control at the center. The partner at the net can then have more influence on the center shot as well. No massive contradiction here I think.

@elhae2 This is a doubles video. If you want to beat a player in singles, watch a singles video. The two games are approached very differently, even though they are both tennis.
