北村氏は亡くなられたんですか...。「太陽の皇子」を、良く聴­いてました。ご冥福をお祈りします。r.i.p

In this interview, citing French Philosopher Gilles Deleuze, kitamura insists that really innovative rock music always comes from minorities.

In mid 1980's he founded Trans Records, produced such bands as Boredoms, Ruins, and his own "monstrous" rock band YBO2. (the fans of this label, called "Trans Gals" are now concidered as one of the origins of today's "Goth-Loli" movement.)

Kitamura died in 17 June 2006 at the age of 49. May he rest in peace. (or in Hell?)

Masashi Kitamura was the chief editor of FOOLS MATE, one of the first european prog rock oriented magazine in Japan. In early 1980's he founded Recommended Records Japan and distributed Univers Zero, Art Bears, The Work, Massacre etc.
