Sawyer & Kate left the island, but it's implied they died outside the island...when or why...we don't know...then they meet Juliet & Jack in the afterlife (like purgatory where they didn't remembe the island & didn't know they were dead) when they meet they remember their lifes in the island & that's when they find a "reason for their existence" find peace. This all thing is a religion metaphor.

Abt Sawyer, Kate & Clairebefore they all meet with heir "soulmates" and find peace in the afterlife there is a HUGE change the Ajira didn't take off bc of what Richard said to Sun in "Namaste" that he saw all the recruits die. IF it took coffee what we know is that kate prob. reunited aaron & claire & had to go to jail bc broke her conditional & kept contact.

It had something to do with his baby girl, Clementine and helping her with his money. We find out in the next season that Kate has been visiting Clementine and her mum. It's hinted that that was what Sawyer wanted Kate to do.
