  • I thought this song was written by Diana Krall, now I'm a bit confused, who wrote it? Michael or Diana?

  • Awesome...his voice never changes @comihwalol...he has the jazziest voice doesn't he? Let's just appreciate. Loving it! Class!

  • gay

  • @HayHayKnowles get a life bitch, rather commenting gay on this awesome song, ur being a jellyfish, rite??

  • gay

  • Ten pages of blogs and no one has even the slightest comment about the greatest description of a woman's body I've ever heard in ANY SONG! EVER! He makes Jimmy Buffett sound like an amateurish party animal, but that's all a tone deaf audience can understand anyway. He sings better than 95% of the drivel that you call great singers with their vocal gyrations and aerobics, who can't sing a proper melody if their life depended on it.

  • Michael Franks is sooooooooo COOL. Thank heavens he still sounds great.

  • I like this song.. It was dedicated to me from someone very very special.

  • I love this Song... Michael has always been a class act.

I think the 'popsicle' effect on Michael is great!

  • You know exactly who's singing on the first note he just has a one of a kind voice

  • @cruiserweight190 One of a kind? Ask John Mayer if Michael Franks has a one of a kind voice....ha

  • @d3murf John Mayer is about as orgional as second hand smoke yes he has ripped off Michael Franks & Dave Matthews quite blatantly

  • Please...what kind of camera are you using? The quality is fantastic!!

  • timeless classic he is.... in a class of his own! Love Michael!

  • #jogjakarta......

  • I just posted this video on Peter King's Facebook page....LOL

  • Peter King of Sports Illustrated called this song, "The worst song ever written" in his latest column. "I'll Be There for You" by The Rembrandts (Theme song to Friends) beats it, in my opinion.

  • In fact, no, your camera just makes a poor decision on how to deal with this particular exposure situation. :-)

    And no, there isn't, thanks.

  • I believe Michael Franks is one of the greatest jazz influences that ever lived!

  • @zkyles

i agree i just wish Michael would Tour the UK

  • Micheal Frankes helped me fall in love with my husband. Tere used to play his music. Saddness hits me because the marriage didn't last but I sure introduced his music to my kids. Thanks Micheal

  • I LOVE this guy, he's hot, he's talented and he's timeless.

  • Michael Franks plays music that is timeless, meaning it never goes out of style. His style is just as good and current now as it was 30 years ago when I became a fan of his music. His eclectic jazz(y) style is unique and whimsical, it creates a sultry ambiance and often reminds me in a way of Bossa Nova. This particular upload doesn't have good audio and doesn't do the song justice. For those who knock it, I'd hate to hear what you think is good.

  • micheal franks is fierce and to all u out there who dont know witht the stupids comments *&$%@#)> YOU!!!!!!!!

  • great groove

  • he's dead... really he is.... so this is his ghost...

  • @chopsngravey LOL!

  • Hypo-thermal-Haagen-Dazsia ;~)

  • what a weird comment...if they were serious.. xD he's obviously not albino...he even looks tan to me. :P

  • This guy stinks

  • @craposo perhaps you should try removing your nose from you a hole!

  • @dbwash31 Perhaps you should shove your nose up my hole

  • @craposo what is wrong with you people its obvious you dont know the greatness of michael franks. youre probably young

  • @Lstevens324 nope I'm old. He stinks. Can't sing for crap.

  • popsicle toe woes

  • Me and my cousin were at the movie theater a week ago and heard this. we were laughing histerically. It is such a retarded name. "Popsicle tooeeeeessss!!!!"

  • Avis aux chanceux se trouvant à Paris: Michael Franks s'y produira au début du mois de Juillet à la Cigale.

  • This guy is responsible for more hot mama's than the world may ever know

  • Someone refer this individual to an edocrinologist for an emergency, mega dose of testosterone, just so it can have enough to be classified as a prepubescent girl.

  • Thanks for posting..no other Popsicle Toes here....

  • he has more talent in his little finger than you clowns that posted those comments have in your body.

  • this is the song he did that made me aware of him.... thank-you for posting

  • you actually need to have some musical education before you categorize this gentleman as talentless...beleive me is not easy.

  • someone should put an actual recording of the song.

  • I used to sing this to my girlfriend, and she fell in love with me. We are happily married with children. Just because YOU fail to see any potential, don't assume to know whats best for anyone but yourself.

  • Man this guy is awful.

  • @craposo u don't know good music, obviously.

  • @rumpballer This guy blows.

  • didnt ur teacher ever tel u if u dont hav

anything good to say dont say anything at all!!! GGGGOOOSSSHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what has the world come to

  • Miguel rocks! Saw him at Berkerly and Scullers Jazz Club all in Boston! I have pics to prove it too!

  • Smooth as buttah....

  • Michael Franks is a Genius. He is one the MOST INFLUENTCIAL artists of the post war era. He has collected piles of critical acclaim. Although you may not be familar with him, he changed American Popular Music as much as the Beatles, The Buffalo Springfield or Dylan. Go to one of his shows, you'll find more famous musicians in the audience than on the stage at the Grammys. Smooth and Clever, that's Michael.

  • @roundport1 I understand that Franks has his fans but seriously, he changed popular music as much as the Beatles, Buffalo Springfield or Dylan? C'mon. He didn't even change popular music as much as Steely Dan.

  • @charlieratc

The only thing Franks has changed is his underwear.

  • Michael Franks is one of the most smoothiest jazz artist around. Calm, cool, and collective. He describes body parts in mannerable ways. Love you, Michael.

  • Baudy good fun! The Bard would be proud.

  • uhh what are you retards on? this song is so perverted. how is no one laughing at this but me? oh and that guy playing the piano.

  • Oh dear, I guess it might be because this musical piece is a sign of urban civilization. It is called jazz.

  • If you think this is jazz you have no idea what jazz is...

  • @craposo : Do not be so judgemental, or? This might definately be labeled as an undercategory of jazz. Cabaret/easy listening/smooth jazz.

  • @harshmistress Sorry, can't help judging this no-talent guy, regardless of what you call it.

  • @craposo So it's not your taste of music, but that's assuming you have taste.

  • @debbie10570 Yes, I have excellent taste, that is why I know this clown has zero singing talent. Can't sing for shit.

  • I see you caught the playful aspect of many of Frank's songs. Very clever isn't he?

  • awesome tune..thanks to MJ for turning me onto Mr Franks

  • touch your panama? wtf?? XD

  • The master of cool, Michael Franks, ladies and gentlemen.

  • Do you remember your first time you heard this man

will for me it's monkey see monkey do.I was hooked

  • great song! For me it was "Lady wants to Know". I was in the 8th grade and it was 20 years ago! He is awesome!

  • Is that man the coolest musician on the planet or what? He just deftly puts lyrics to music like no other. That guy must have swallowed his Cole Porter whole with his breakfast every morning. Rock on Michael -if ever you make it to Ireland I'll be first in the queue for a concert ticket.

  • Nicolinali: That was such sweet message! Smooth. :)

  • My first love gave me The Art of Tea on Valentine's Day, 1979...and we "hit the floor and explored" (my first time) - so sweet and romantic!

  • 1st X I heard this tune was @ Baker's in the D! I love the song.....I am now a fan of Michael Franks!

  • I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a cool song! I forgot about it until my gf reminded me of it today. None of her friends remembered it from back when we were all younger.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • The master of urban eroticism...

  • Michael Franks will always be one of my all time favorites!

  • An absolute classic. What incredible images are created with the barest of phrases. Thanks for posting and putting a smile on my face ;)

  • so cool, i also like their duet with diana krall, very nice!

  • One of my favorite Michael Franks songs.A fan since The Art of Tea. Hopefully will see him live one day.

  • Meeeee toooooo!!!!! I started collecting his album since I was 13 and met in Cerritos in one of my summer vacations in America. It was such a joy and memorable moment.

  • What a genius song writer.

  • This ones for you Jason Arnold!! Thanks MF!

  • Ah Man, I love this song. That's from the album "The Art Of Tea". Him and Joe Sample get together and make a major master piece. Don't believe me? Check out the album "Sleeping Gypsy" the best album to me ever made. C'mon Michael!!!! Sing it!!!!

  • is he an albino?

  • I was just learning how to use my camera when I filmed this video and didn't realize that I needed to zoom in to get beyond the glare of the spotlight. But I posted anyway just 'cause I don't think there's enough Michael Franks on YouTube! :)

  • @MishaRW you're right, there's not

  • @MishaRW ~~~~ You did a great job!!!!!!!!! I LOVE MICHAEL FRANKS!!! THIS IS TRUE JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • @MishaRW I know the response is late but you are so right: not enough Michael Franks anywhere in my book lol. As for the mis-use of the camera, I actually thought it was some special effect you gave to have him look like ice because he's singing about "popsicles...." It is so groovy to me and thanks for reconnecting me to a song I have searched for over 10 years actually! Peace

  • @MishaRW And I THANK YOU for it!! He is FABULOUS!

  • no, he's not an albino. just a man who loves to write and sing jazz. he does both well!

  • just old, but still in concert

  • @neccrew +@MishaRW. Albino: Ha Ha, funny this light unvolontary effect.

Thank you for posting this video!

  • @neccrew no, he's stylized!

  • hahha wuv his ad-libbing. reminds me of al somehow

  • Smooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth. Very smooth.

  • He glows!

  • I am a ninja.

  • When I first started dating I understood this song. Find the audio on the net and you'll appreciate it. I have been listening to MF since I was 18, now 48. The dude never studied music, he studied literature. In essence, he has put literature to music. Get the music and read the lyrics. His best work '77'78'79'80, but hey everything was the best those 4 years. Listen to Eggplant, Popsicle Toes, Mr. Blue, Be very careful, the music is narcotic and will hook you.

  • And don't leave by the back door. It's being watched.

  • Make sure the bills are all unmarked. Fill them in polythene bags of different sizes.

  • He's as good as he sounds on record...send money...small bills

  • my man, franks, white man al jarraue, i love this dude,
