  • Noooo he doesn't like Lord of the Rings??

Nobody knows this but it was Gandalf's first idea to use the Eagles to get there in the book! The damn birds didn't want to get involved but in the end they come because they owe Gandalf one xD!!!

*Sigh* Oh well... Not everybody like LOTR.. :p lol

  • Is it just me or he's really smart and cultured?

  • @allana221 He'd certainly like everyone to THINK he's cultured. Really, he's got a very specific knowledge base about film that he developed at uni. That said, he is terribly clever. <3

  • @tallbabyvideo Haha, I agree. I think he knows a lot about a very specific type of film (and sometimes that knowledge came spouting out in The Steve Show).

    But he's amazing anyway <3

  • Cool! It is Wheatley! Hi Wheatley!

  • I agree with everything this man has said.

  • Dont overrate Woody Allen. I think he's average. Annie Hall is the only good thing he made. Other things are okay but nor great.

  • Where was the bird at the beginning??? haha so funny

  • Loved that description about The Apartment. That movie is truly a work of art.

  • I do agree on "The Lord of the Rings." I mean, it's a brilliant trilogy and incredibly well-done, but why didn't they just ask the flippin' eagles for a ride and avoid all the disasters and near-deaths they run into. Mad! Well, I guess they like walking quite a bit. It's a good story, but I started feeling a bit antsy one hour into the director's cut.

  • @Sorida777 I think there was a good reason in the books.

    I think.

  • @Sorida777 The birds were there, but they couldn't just fly them into mordor. They show up after Sauron is destroyed with the ring, when it's safe. Also only Gandalf can control them, it's all in the books.

  • @danutcase66 I think I might have seen that. Don't they go "Well that wwas incredibly easy"

  • I agree about LOTR, it's the equivalent of pointing shiny objects at a chimp (or Karl Pilkington).

  • I disagree with his last comment though, saying "you need to do an awful lot of good movies before you have a go at this guy" - I think that's nonsense. If you can justify a criticism based on taste, logically in some way, it doesn't matter what YOU have done. Anybody can criticize anything, it's all fair game. You may as well say you can't have an opinion on anything you haven't done. That's like "don't like the way Bush ran the country? you haven't done it - INVALID!".

  • @magicbibledotcom Im surprised your screen name isn't "Richard Anderson".

  • lmao! "what about Friday night". I agree with Smerch on Lord of the Rings too. And whenever people try to justify how good it is they always mention the amount of people used in a battle scene or some spurious production detail like that makes it a good movie lmao.

  • How can you not enjoy lord of the rings :/

  • Thank god someone else loves After Hours!

  • "What about Friday night"

    That is a great line.

  • lol Steve's well-documented dislike for Lord of the Rings comes up again. It's not my thing but the craft that went into that trilogy is really something else. Also that Woody Allen clip at the end made me lol irl.

  • He was soo right about Lord of the Rings and I absolutely agree on Woody's directing and Jack Lemmon's performance - this guy know what he is talking about!!

  • didn't they ask favorite film twice? lol either way, love this, love you robyn, thanks!!!

  • I'm actually WETTING myself when he's talking about the Lord of the Rings bird!!!! XD XD XD

  • Thank you @tallbabyvideo ! ´cos here I can´t watch the video. Is not available.
