  • I'd like to clear up a point here, That 1954 Corvette with a 150 BHP @ 4000 rpm, 235 ci six, a powerglide (2 speed) trans. the car weighed 2700+ lbs. That car did all that it was physically capable of doing. It was quite well out-classed in true sports car racing of the day. All these cars at the 'Portland Historic Races' are as they came from the factories. All the competition in that class were hi-reving 4 cylinder (most good for 6,000) 1500 lbs cars.

  • Either that guy in the 'Vette was a novice or he was an idiot, there's no explanation for his holding the group up like that.

  • toward the end i thought i saw a 58 aston martin DBR2 in red after passing the vette . sterling moss drove one to two championships.

  • nice vid, love those high revving 2.5L and under 4's. looks like i need to get down to PIR next year and hopefully watch you race. clean car, and extra oldschool, just how i like it!
