  • John Lennon hit that ass all night.

  • Whats the crack with all the wass aviator style glasses lol :)

  • Thank u so much I adore John Lennon thanks love bless ya

  • Real Love

  • John is such a puuunk, totally awesome, he always seemed so chill. I really look up to him.

  • Phil Spector (now in jail for murder) wrote a song (after seeing an epitaph on a tombstone) called To Know Him Is To Love Him. He formed a group called The Teddy Bears (after Elvis' hit) and recorded the song with Marshall Leibman, himself and Annette Kleinbard (later Annette Bard) resulting in a hit record! Years later; Annette changed her name to Carol Connors and made a few more 45s. She also testified at the O.J. trial. Phil's Annette label was named after her. Joe S.

  • whats the name of the song at 7:20, i would really appreciate if one can tell me ?

  • @avatarspade "To know her is to love her" - That's the way The Beatles did it - the original song is "To know him is to love him" by The Teddy Bears - written and produced by Phil Spector in 1958.

  • @LODGE4444

    hey man thanks,

if someone asks me to hear a song its in my nature to listen to it..

I found your song to be lovely and makes me ponder about things.....

truely i want to thank you and you have a wonderful voice

  • @avatarspade its the beatles = "if i fell".

  • @elizajohn5 its not its TO know her is to love her ...........but thanks though

  • @avatarspade yeah, sorry about that, i thought you meant the earlier song on the vid!!

  • whats the name of the song at 7:20 .....i would really appreciate if one can tell me

  • I respect John as an artist, but as a person, no way.

  • im gonna make a timemachine and travel back in time. gonna save John!

  • hey i named my bunny cynthia after her but not in a mean way but in a good way

  • This just goes to show if you can play guitar you can get away with anything.....let's face it people......John was kind of an asshole.

  • Poor John, and poor Nigel.

  • 6:55

    mclovin

  • does anyone know which one might mention "imagine" thx i need it for an assignment :)

  • yep, johns a prick

  • Why is she complaining about? John Lennon slapped your face! I wish he slapped me ..

  • Woah woah woah - they wait until 20 minutes in to show the title card? Not very good documentary making.

  • self proclaimed genius!

  • i do feel bad for the way john treated her, i mean in one of his last compositions 'real love' he says about cyn "thought i'd been in love before, but in my heart i wanted more"

  • Oh my god wow

  • 6:45, cynthia looks real pretty

  • How the fuck did he expect fame for killing this man? smh.. It's insane anyone who tries to stand for peace and equality has to die for it, people before and after him

  • god he was amazing,

i wish i grew up back then instead of this shitty generation

  • @gabyyy24 and 20-40 years from now people will be saying the same. Me personally i want the 90's back BUT we should try to enjoy our generation for what it is. If you think about it the similarites of this time and the 60's are more then you think.

  • I am kind of uncomfortable with the word 'genius' that seems to be banded about so frequently when people talk of somebody doing something that is considered to be outstanding. I believe John Lennon was touched by musical genius, but not in the same way as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was. However, amid howls of derision I will concede that Lennon was indeed an ordinary man that was capable of extremely extraordinary things. I adore his music.

  • ...GREAT .....HEARTWARMING VIDEO...

  • whats the name of the song at 5:26 ?

  • @espvp I think it is called "If I Fell."

  • Cynthia is such a wonderful and classy lady. It's pretty cool to actually see her in the place where she met John for the first time.

  • john gotz skill with da ladies

  • @TheDiddlysquat Having a somewhat poor memory regarding song lyrics and being a "below average" student in school really have little to do with intelligence. Albert Einstein had problems in school and yet his last name is synonymous with "genius". Anyone can memorize words and equations taught in school but it takes real intelligence to think of new ideas.

  • @TheDiddlysquat but i say again . john was a genius * :)

and i dont believe that , cartney had/have higher IQ than john .

  • yjanl you

  • Thanks for posting this excellent expose into the young person about to become Ivan the Terrible.

  • thats so sad.

  • when he was 17 , he had 165 IQ points.

    He is FUCKIN GENIUS!!!!

  • Fuck Christianity. Down with all religions, mankind doesn't need that shit any more.

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis

    FINALLY Someone Uses Their Brain.

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis I agree but the comments section of this video is hardly the place to begin a debate over it.

  • what is the namne of the song lennon wrote about his mother ??? :)

  • @superbajskorv "Julia" -- a beautiful song

  • @Chexpeare Thanx :)

  • The woman describing him slapping the other girl's face probably gives the most honest opinion of everyone in this part.

  • I`ts called "If I Fell" one of the nicest ballads Lennon wrote!!!

  • needless to say, I'm a fan. Thanks for this series.

  • What's the song that begins at 5:26. I know it was on the film 'Hard Days Night' but I dunno what its called.

  • "If I Fell"

  • Cheers n that. People like John Lennon intrigue me - you know. People who are iconic e.g. Woody Allen, Michael Jackson, etc. This documentary is good.

  • 4:55

  • 4:54

  • 4:54

  • The guy narrating this is Bernard Hill, a great actor who was the captain in 'Titanic' and was in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy .. He was from Liverpool which is why he's narrating this ..

  • ahhh, I knew I recognized the voice... and in hindsight, why I recognized the accent. "when last I looked I was king"

I thought it was the guy who did the voice in Yellow Sub....

  • haha, at 6 minutes 53 seconds into this part of the documentary, Paul looks the spitting image of that mental kid in 'sin city'

  • Love it.

  • The guy narrating this is in the film"Titanic"

  • I feel uncomfortable with all this... may be it goes to deep... a thing like that....

  • Interesting film footage, but I didn't see Paul, George or Ringo talking about John anywhere...Only the "trouble" Pete Best!(this was John's word about Pete in his article in Merseybeat in 1962!!!)

  • maybe, it's about JOHN.

  • You mean, John was the real trouble?..I hope not! I hope you're not one of them, who say that he was "anti-Christian",because he said that Beatles are more popular than Jesus..He was just speaking about some lazy priests, who don't really care about young people..As an artist, he was honest-and,as a man,had already felt a lot of pain..

  • I thought you taking about the video.

Anway, John was a rebellious man. He partciulary against Christianity. Besides the comment, you should look the interviews in 1975-1980. He got piss off when Dylan (his hero) got saved.

  • Bob Dylan is another thing-too complicated... Anyway, let me answer using John's thoughts about Christ-and "bad" Christians: "Christians... are so busy condemning themselves and others, or preaching at people, or worse, still killing for Christ. None of them understanding, or trying in the least, to behave like a Christ..." (Skywriting By Word Of Mouth). I'm an Orthodox Christian, and I find no difference between Christianity and John's words...

  • what is an orthodox christian?

  • Seems reard to me you haven't even heard of orthodoxy... Anyway, it's synonymous with true love and spiritual freedom... If you ever visit a Greek island, or a Greek village, you'll see what I mean... If you know Greece at all, of course!!

  • thank you for the reply. I am all in favor of true love and spiritual freedom. I have traveled in the past 20 years and have not made it to greece yet.

  • another group of christ-insanity, that claims they are the truth! silly!

  • if theres anything she learned from John, it was definitely to say "y'know" at the end of every statement

  • well I didn't ask you to fucking marry me did I! genius

  • bahahaha paul at 6:53

  • Cyn is so lovely.

  • Yeah, I'm reading her book "John Cynthia Lennon" atm - great book person interested in John Lennon should read it really.

  • oh man, george was sexy.

  • after pete was replaced I think he became the new best looking one

  • she said "he's a right bastard"

  • i cant understand what that ladies saying when she describes why john slapped cynthia, explaination please?

  • oh, she was just shocked by John hitting her pal, that's all(then she ....Quite rightly called him cruel for doing it)John was very flippent in his emotions, he had a lot of growing up to do and who was going to be his father figure?..... he only had rock'n'roll!

  • She said that she and Cynthia had been to a village club and were brought back home in a car by two blokes, all very innocent. Cynthia told John about it the next day and when she went to the cloakroom, she found Cynthia crying - John had slapped Cynthia (I think he didn't like Cynthia being taken home by the 2 blokes).

  • excuse me do you know the name of the sng in thee minute 7:19

  • its called "to know her is to love her", i love listenin to that and "something" when i think about the girl i love :)

  • aww i feel bad that john lost his mother too, but i couldn't belive when they said that he slapped cynthia!!!

    i still luv him tho

  • "well i didn't ask you to f**king marry me did i"

    LOL, ohh john<3

  • haha great line haha

  • lennon legend

  • poor john he lost his mama and dada (i think he did lose his dada) and we get the luck poor johnny T_T i want a bro named john lennon!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha that be kewl if Ringo did narrate that, and it does sound a tad bit like him (lol) I feel real bad about his mother, and bad for the guy who thought it was his fault. It wasn't everything happens for a reason right? And anyway Johns with his mother now :)

  • Does anyone know who is narrating this? It kinda sounds like Ringo!

  • It's Bernard Hill :)

  • @thepilotinn I knew that voice, couldn't put my finger on it.

  • And thats how rumours start :D

  • @AngryWhiteGurl Its an actor named Berard Hill. The guy played the captain in Titanic, with de caprio

  • The Beatles were a grand group of fellows, and John Lennon really wrote fantastic songs. I had no idea he ever went to a proper school, but he was a rebel. I mean a REBEL!!! Just listen to that song "In My Life". That's a song and a half. Wowsers!!!

  • i agree, but who says wowsers?

  • Inspector gadget

  • lol

  • Inspector Gadget!

  • "I'll get you next time Gadget"

  • if lennon ever ran for president i would root for him

  • to 1950: in matter of opinions nothing makes sense my dear 1950. i agrre with your analysis confronting the beatles against avril. it's not fair though. i didn't mean today's pop scene. i meant from the 50's to eighties.

  • " I didn't ask you to fucking marry me did I" hahaha!!

  • This is amazing. Just when you think you know it all about them all.

  • Let's see you write great songs then, seeing as it's so damn easy.

  • to 1952: if your hypothesis is true then the whole pop scene is full of geniuses. if something that you do well makes you a genius, then i am one too!

  • There's a difference between the Beatles and the contemporary pop scene, take Avril Lavigne(sp.) for instance. Avril Lavinge's music has practically no depth what-so-ever, talking about guys and such. The Beatles lyrics were much more artistic and musical, as was the actual music to go along with it, with orchestral instruments, sitars, etc. Pop music these days isn't the same as The Beatles, so your statement doesn't make much sense.

  • beatles were more rock and roll i would say they were called pop coz pop meant popular

  • try to write a song and make it even a millionth as good as any beatles song and i will personally pay you a billion dollars

  • I can. want to hear it/them

  • I love this video

    really nice job!!
