It is not possible to download ring tones for your sidekick from anywhere other than the Download Catalog unless you're a developer for Danger OS and have a developer key, then you can just make your own ring tones (same procedure as making hinge sounds) and load them to your phone. Just place the sounds in your theme's folder and add the strings to the theme.txt file, if you don't know how to do this visit my blog, there's plenty information there on the Sktheme making procedure.

Thanks, I've also made a video on how to do hinge sounds with Audacity, It was requested at my blog since not everyone can afford Adobe Audition but I'm sure people will watch both videos, Not everyone learns with the same techniques so who ever doesn't understand my videos will most likely benefit from yours and vice-versa.

If you go under Effects... Amplitude & Compression... Hard Limiting... Set The Limit Max Amplitude to: 0 db, set the Boost Input by: 5 db to 15 db depending how loud the sound already is, The limiter will make your sound the loudest possible without clipping but be aware that if you do this wrong and make the sounds too loud, there's a chance you'll damage your phone's speakers.

yes, go to Effect... Amplify... The amplification depends on the sound so I can't give you no exact number to use. You can also go to Effect... Hard Limiter... if you rather use a limiter but the limiter on Audacity is not as good as on Adobe Audition so you'll probably have to use both for better results. The limiter prevents clipping which can cause damage to speakers.

make sure the file size on the sounds is not bigger than 100kb, anything over 100kb WILL NOT WORK, also double check that you have the matching string in your theme.txt file it should be...

It is possible but the only way I know is by getting a developer key on your phone, only way to get one now is if you're a developer. got to developer(dot)danger(dot)com for more info on getting one.
