Already they are starting plans to build structures for human life on the moon, not to mention all the underground bunkers. Are they preparing for something we don't know about? At the moment we have something that has the potential to knock the astroid off it's intended course. It's an extremely fast rocket about the size of a car that will be projected at the astroid at about 24,000 mp/h. The only hard part is to set an orbit for the rocket's carrier around the astroid.
