WOW you bought all of the 52. if it had been 20 years ago i would have bought all 52 aswell just like i did with zero hour when i got all parts to that, so far only green lantern seems to be consistantly great. was hoping more from scot synders run on batman after the great arc he just did on detective comics
Legion is hard to penetrate because its canon is constantly changing its origin and history. SO what do think of the NON traditional DC characters who go their own book like Grifter, Stormwatch, and Mr. Terrific?
As I understand it, the Excalibur stories change the location of the sword to suit that particular tale's needs and are likely adaptations of other, older stories just like the search for the Grail stories. The search for the Holy Grail stories are very much akin to older stories told about the search for other items of power such as cauldrons that grant powers such as immortality, power, etc.
Thanks for the DC 52 rundown. I am not a huge comics fan, but it was interesting.
Regarding excalibur: Khaion's comment might be correct (I don't know/remember), but the Arthur legend is a mess of different stories and versions of stories (some of which are contradictory). Most mythologies/folk tales are a mess, even though we might think of what little survives as "the story".
I think arthur had two swords, excalibur and caliburn. Excalibur was the one given to him by the lady of the lake and caliburn was the one he pulled out of the stone.
Frankenstien is a good, fun romp. Really enjoying it.
Excalibur was both. Arthur pulled it from the stone, and chucked it at the watery bint in the lake when he was about to die/lose/get on a boat to Avalon.
what are your thoughts on young justice and the new thundercats cartoons?

I didnt think that I would enjoy Aquaman as much as I do. I really like how it is making fun of him in the same ways everyone did. Nice touch to it.

did you read the prequel comics for Arkham City? If so, what did you think of the small cameo of Robin and his design?
