  • Stunning work! Love your style.

  • Hi, could you please tell me all the colors you used to get that correct skin color? I can never get one right. Plus, I noticed that you went from painting light to darker tone to then again lighter tone.. correct me if i am wrong.

  • Nice demonstration and good work!!

  • What song is this?

    Awesome technique.

    :)

  • Amazing work.

  • Were you naked too when you painted this?

  • @rodocite you bet.

  • omg i'm so jealous my painting is no where near as good. How did u learn to do that?

  • @omgitsbrooke1 practice, practice, practice. ;-)

  • stunning!

  • You are so gifted!!!! I wish I had your talent.

  • What is that she's applying to the paint to make it flow and drip like that?

  • @AwkwardWool i was spraying OMS from a bottle. i don't do that anymore - it's pretty bad for you. but it does look cool.

  • what are you spraying on the painting?

  • No dry time in between?

  • @99djc88 no, this is alla prima, painted all at once. most paintings go in multiple sessions but a small sketch like this can work alla prima.

  • Beautiful. I wish I had talent. What's it feel like?

  • Extraordinary piece of work. As for sharing her skills-what do you think she's doing here? Or do you want her to magically give you her talent? That sounds nice, but then, you'd be painting her work, not yours. Think about it. And how do you know she is not using a classical technique? Did all classical painters use layers like Titian? I don't know, and I don't care. Good art is what I care about. Paint it a la prima, or paint it in a dozen layers. Just do a good job, or maybe even a great one!

  • This is great! I'm jealous, this seems as though it was a one session painting. Something like this would take me at least 3 to four days (probably more like 5). How about sharing some of those skills! ;)

  • Simply extraordinary.

  • Very beautiful :)

  • A very good illustration of the visual art process. The "underlying lines" are necessary and part of the process of transfer the image in our head to the paper or canvas. Some can do it from a simple pencil sketch or outline. But most of us go through the whole process. The painting evolves through stages in this way. Sometimes it changes from our original idea or image and often in a good way.

  • Very good work....why are all the underlaying limes so necessary for the end product though? Does it work all the same by doing a simple pencil sketch and then simply applying the painted touch?

  • @Seektruth1st I imagine the underlying lines are being used as guides. I am speaking for myself, since I am not the artist here. It's hard to believe how easily one can go way off the design you want to paint without any guidelines, of whatever vehicle; whether pencil, paint, charcoal, or whatever works for the artist. She can speak for herself, since she's clearly an amazing artist. Just my two cents.

  • wonderfull painting

  • This is completley inapropriut

  • @drvasquez69 What's inappropriate ? (Assuming thats what your trying to spell...!)

  • Her right nipple.

  • this is all in one sitting right?

  • Good work, Im trying to learn, and this helps me a lot in regards to the progression of things. Hopefully one day I'll have practised enough to produce something to look at =)

    Thanks for the video

  • Wonderful control of the values. I enjoyed how each time you modified the light and shadow the illusion of space was enhanced. Magic. Bravo!

  • Thank you! Very nice.

  • such a good picture, dont worry about this self promotion crack your good, show it off! let everybody know, be proud! very inspiring

  • @ ThelmmaculateHeart

I don't get what you mean, most of these art videos are time lapsed like that. I find it very disrespecting for you to say something like this. If you want something like step by step tutorial , go to a art teacher and take years of practice to learn and improve. Some videos do provide steps on how to do actually do it for free, but they are doing it out of generosity they don't even have to bother to upload it.

  • that was good..i dont do oils anymore i need to get back to that..its a slow process..i liked the way you worked on that painting you did layering..and got to say good that you didnt use black..great job..check out my drawing and painting vid..

  • ehh...

  • yeah....like you could do better! ha

  • @Mellowbuzz1974 im not saying it to be mean but its just so far from the classical techniques gosh!

    and your talent... your wonderful.

  • excellent.

  • What song is this, any clues?

  • I think it may be a track from Centuries Before Love and War by 'Stars of Track and Field' the title song is named 'Lullabye for a G.I./Don't Close Your Eyes'. You can get it from Amazon.

  • Great painting and soothing music. Actually I did "close my eyes" and my coffee mug did "fall to pieces" :(

  • Incredible. You make it look easy. Do you sell your paintings? I would.

  • Nice.

  • amazing. i hope to be abe to paint like you one day.

i always have trouble when finishing off my figures, with getting rid of the brush strokes, and can never get the skin perfectly smooth like yours.

do you use paint thinners or anything, could you give me some advice on how to get smoother looking skin?

  • are you painting on wood? (AMAZING PAINTING!)

  • Hi, glad you liked it! This was painted on ABS mounted on plywood, primed with a coat of lead that was left to cure for about 6 months.

  • Very Beautiful! Nice composition and I love your sense of color! You are quickly becoming my favorite painter on youtube! How do you mix your oil paint before painting? linseed oil and thinner? I also love that you used your fingers! Some painters take for granted the techniques that you can get with fingers. Great demostration!

  • Thanks for your comments! I mix a generic "flesh" string, in values 1-9 that are warmer in the darks. Then as I'm applying the 3rd layer, the thick layer, each value is checked for hue and chroma and adjusted for that specific part. I don't usually use a medium, but if I do it's stand/damar (or copal/turp. The spray at the beginning is OMS. Fingers are good tools!

  • hi there wound full figure painting i want to no if you where to sell that also how much it would be going for your figure painting?

  • awseome!

  • I just started oil painting last night. Your videos are amazing and a great help. I'm having some trouble with shading facial features.
