Think its fair to say there was still some dislike between the 2 , even 7 months or so after Japan, mostly on Senna's part (understandably). Also some between Balestre & Senna as Balestre didnt even look at Senna after presenting the winners trophy. Prost looked like he wanted to shake hands with Senna, but it was probably too soon for Senna.
I was a little disappointed that Capelli didn't win this. He was so close and he tried so hard. It reminds of the race with Hill in 97 with the Yamaha.
I never understood why Ayrton behaved almost like a jealous guy in the podium, totally careless and impolite, tough, rude I'd say....... He abandoned the podium, Prost looked at him while Ayrton was shaking hands with Capelli, expecting some shaking hands with Ayrton, at least as a polite compliment, but He ignored Alain completely, He ignored the public, and He He left the podium..... He behaved like a totally very bad looser I must say. A pity....
Senna should have received a race ban for his pathetic behavior. At the last race, he hit Prost by ramming the Ferrari off the track in Japan! The prick should have been given a season ban because he did that the year before. What a loser.
Don't say that or all the Senna widows will be after you! I agree though he should be gracious in defeat too, well done to Capelli though he was the driver of the day
Thank you, thank you so much for posting this great race. It was about time. Phenomenal drive by Capelli, who almost pulled it off. Reminds me a lot of what happened in Hungary in '97.
Capelli looked like he belonged next to these two. A great pity that his Ferrari experience destroyed him mentally.

Why was the British flag up? Surely it should've been Brazilian?

@levethane Yes. He almost won the next race, too, at Silverstone. He was running down the leaders but suffered engine prblems.

Senna was a great champion, but was selfish and never accepted that another one could win.
and this is why he almost killed himself in imola pushing very hard knowing that Schumacher was very fast behind him.
anyway RIP SENNA
