Mann,, i am literally >>>>>>>i can pour my blood to run this , i know this Kid iss,,,,,Big Time King,,, you never know until you fell that, that's the,, yes, i had an 89 Black, with with Silver Grill on it,,,
@oljerzbastard LMFAO, ive never met a maxima that roared, short of removing the exhaust from the manifolds. i own a 2000 GLE and its fucking garbage Not at all a sports car by any means when a fuckin mazda 3 whoops its ass. Not to mention ive already had to replace the trans and the engine, and not to mention the other dozen major parts that failed (coil packs, MAF, etc) and the cars only got 132K miles. My 2002 GT had 115K when i totalled it, and never had a problem after i beat it everyday.
as well 7th gens are not the rebirth of 4DSC, theyre large luxury cars that dont even come in 5spd or 6spd anymore, and have CVT. 4DSC only belongs with 1st-3rd gens, even 4th gens are alright but after that Maximas went downhill
also, trim-wise wheels and grills is not correct. for 3rd gens, GXE had body colour mirrors, softer springs, rarely had a spoiler or fog lights, and had normal taillights and a digital touch entry as well as some other things im forgetting. SE had black mirrors, some had smoked taillights, they had spoilers, fog lights, and no digital touch entry. 92-94 SE also had VE30DE
1st gens were the only RWD Maxima and were also called Datsun 810, they came in diesel and gas and had L-series engines like older Z's
2nd gens were the 1st for FWD, and had the same VG30E as Z31, 89-94 GXE 3rd gen Maximas and 89-91 SE Maximas had VG30E as well, but it had 5hp more than the Z31 and 2nd gen version and looked a bit different
i have a nissan maxima 1999 es and i can say that its the best fuking dam car on the planet this car is massif in winter and has a 3.0l twin cams this car is very luxury to and has great perfomance 95 to 99 best nissans car nerver breaks! i love it!!
I love the fourth gen - the 1995s. I hate there rears. I own a 99 SE in sunlit sand and it has 498,000 miles on it and people at the gas station still comment me on what a beautiful car it is.
I always liked the Maxima's, even though I've never had one. The '85-'88 models were very advanced for their time. I think there's a vid on here somewhere of someone demonstrating the voice alert system from the '85-'88 generation
I have an 01 GLE and i love it!!! they are not boring to drive at all. Fast with good gas mileage as well as luxury. on top of that they are easy to maintain. The car at 3:20 is an exact replica of mine :)
It sucks that they don't sell em in Europe these days, my dad had one for 4 years, from 98-02 but someone drove into it when it was parked and the engine was destroyed. :( i remember it ran 220km/h on the highway, pretty sweet V6 engine.
Nice Video. I had the 1986 MY and almost got the 2003 MY, but the 2008 MY was the best only second to the 1986 MY because those years still talked. Also don't like the when Nissan went to the 3.5L Premium fuel was required. Honda has a 3.5L in their Accord that requires 87 regular.
I have a 1999 Nissan maxima, gle but with all the extra options such as fog lights, power everything, bose stereo system, security system, and a few other things i forget. only 128k miles. I'm 16 and it's my first car, i consider myself very lucky to have such an amazing car, with one of the best engines in the world! Love my maxi!
so far I realllly like it. I haven't been able to drive it lately cuz of the weather. We've been getting ice and snow here in PA a lot lately. but once it melts and spring comes around, there's a lot of roads i'm aching to test it out on. particularly back roads cuz i haven't tested it's handling out too well yet. I was very happy when I found this car though. A dealership actually found it for me at an auction and gave me a price that was practically a steal. Interior on these are sooo great!!!
Thanks :) I I honestly think I am. I know the difference between right and wrong and my parents are really proud of me and they do w/e they can to help me out in life. They're great and I'll never forget them for helping me get this awesome maxi.
well I was thinking about possibly putting some headers on it. Maybe an intake, y pipe. I'm not gonna completely modify it b/c the car is beautiful already.
Im 18 and I got a '97 GLE with 145k. BlackonBlack. I love the interior cause its mint, but the outside got some dings and rust. Bondo will take care of most of it. Dont get headers, for the money thats one of the worst mods u could do. Also, dont get a y pipe from any company, have a custom equal length Y made by an exhaust shop. Sounds a world of difference better. I started with a megan catback, at only $350, id HIGHLY recommend. I took the rear section off, as it looked ricey.
If im not mistaken, the only difference on Limteds was that badge on the side of the door. One thing ive noticed about limteds is that almost all of them, at least in my area, are automatics and all have tan cloth.
i just read on wikipedia that limiteds also come with minor body trims but are not too noticable. also, all of the limiteds in my area are silver & black and always have the charcol cloth. strange isnt it?!
nah dude, not hard at all. If ur talking about within each generation, the only diff between each trim was wheels and grills (and exhaust tips on 4th and 5th gens).
GXE always had steelies and cloth seats 4th thru 5th and GLE had chrome grill for 4th gen while SE had painted to match grill and the five spoke wheels. 5th gen SE had 6 spokes vs GLE's 5spoke. 5.5 gen each had diff wheels and all had badges signifying. I think thats the only gen that always had the trim badge.
In the same boat as u dude, i kinda wish i had fogs but now that i blacked out the orange bumper lights, i kinda like the look without em. I'd recommend gettin some after market headlights, as it will really freshen the look of the car. yellow, oxidized headlights kill the look of our cars. Its honestly the best car for the money. Honestly, show me a car that will keep with a G35 from a speed, while carrying 4 passengers comfortably, blaring the Bose, and be able to run 300k miles..
I have no clue why nissan started to put CVT's in their vehicle, but remember that ever since nissan changed the maxima to FWD, their goal has been to make maxima the best performing FWD sedan in the world.
yea the 6th and 7th gen definately are the best overall performing fwd sedans. the only fwd sedan w/ more power ive driven is the deville but its still slower. the new acura tl fwd does have 280hp/253torque ,less than maxima but i havent driven one yet
ive got a 96 soon to be vq35 swap and turbo :D 4th gen FTW!!!!!

A nice thing to learn is that Maxima's prior to 84 where REAR wheel drive, and powered by the L28e (which was easily modded to L28eT)
