I can't disagree more with the above comments. North's music gives Kubrick's ice cold masterpiece a depth and humanity that is sorely lacks. This is the work of great artist in collaboration with a misguided one, and its loss is one of the major tragedies of the cinema.

I don't think the score is horrible at all. It works as a decent musical piece. But Kubrick's choices with the source music was more effective.
