I feel like I am getting ripped off by these people. I have been drumming for about 9 years and I have spent around 6000 dollars..how did you get soo proficient in double bass? What were your methods of being so fluid with it? I just don't want to waste money on trainers who say I am good when obviously i am not...i have a video up kindof displaying what I mean.

Hey Chase...I am a huge fan of your videos. I am a drummer myself. However I am not that great at double bass...i can do it pretty well at short spurts...what is your method because I have had a few trainers that compliment me on my drumming but I just don't feel my double bass..its not consistant enough to my standards.

@davidmain122 Just do double bass excercises. RLRL. Paradiddles with your feet. Start out slow, and just gradually increase the speed. Do a simple 4/4 beat with your hands while doing RLRL with your feet.

If that's too boring for you, play songs that involve double bass. Easy and simple songs, and level up to like ABR or something!

If that's not your style, then just freestyle with your double bass. Overall, just hangout with your drumset! And you'll improve with yourself noticing.

You should tune down your snare a little it sounds like a dodgeball haha I'd say crank the bottom head and then tune the top in between cranked and super loose so you get a nice recording sound. GREAT JOB BTW!!!!!!!! You are one of the best drummers out there right now!

chase, why do you mute your toms so much? to me, they sound really bad...what i think you should be doing is using some good old 2 ply heads with some moon gel on, or some slightly muted heads (like evans ec2 or remo pinstripe) and just eq the ringing out.
