  • shut up n stop crying

  • WHY MAKE THIS VIDEO ABOUT "CATCHING A WILD QUAKER" IF ALL YOUR GONNA TELL US IS THAT ITS ILLEGAL. POOR BIRDS BUT CHANGE THE TITLE!

  • These birds are illegal to catch and and are in endangered species. Let them reproduce as they rapidly decline in south America. Bird smuggling and deforestation. They are no threat to native wildlife as they build their own nests, feed on trees that were once imported as well. Many humans are greedy as they only want to catch and sell them. "Quaker Parrot not tame", posts are everywhere. don't buy them, suffer as newly caged birds and pluck feathers.

  • i just caught a wild won in NY yesterday... haha i take very good care of him... dna tested. and his has the same size cage for a macaw

  • @kiwiparrot2 your kidding right your grammer isn't even correct "i caught won" it is i caught one besides why would you catch a wild bird

  • realy is crying necessary

  • thats terriable im happy that i got my little quaker (norman) from my breeder hand fed and NOT WILD CAUGHT.

  • I agree with every word you said!

  • Any cop,or game officer.... YOU have been put on notice. If you are witnessed destroying these awesome little birds because your boss told you to do so,I hope someone blows your head clean off your shoulders with a gun, rendering you just a faint memory in your childs life. I hope I made myself clear ! QUAKER PARROTS RULE ! Don't be the needle dicks that people claim you to be.Have compassion !

  • Yeah ok . . . BUT HOW THE HELL DO I CATCH ONE!! besides shooting a roman candle at their nest then throwing a net over them . . .

  • she sounds like she cares dude i feel 4 her

  • @dgross563 you "rescue" from the pet shops and then they just get replaced.. OMG don't you know that??

  • @dinksta Yes, normally they do, however this particular pet store is not getting anymore parrots. They took their large bird cages down, and they don't have a good rep with birds. 2 of my birds spent a year in that store with one perch and one toy, no bedding, no freedom, no human companionship, just metal bars. Yes, occasionally I do rescue from pet stores that are not good to their birds.

  • @dgross563 Well that is good that you do that, I understand why you do that too. Don't you some kind of RSPCA in America? Can't you just report them instead of adding to the misery of another bird taking that birds place?

  • @dinksta Some Parrot club had meetings there once a month- they might have done some good. The employees of the store complained about what they could and couldn't do w/the birds. Our family "sponsored" one white capped pionus that was also there for a year. One of the employees and I made it our mission to buy up the ones we could, and finally the pionus sold. I've read comments elsewhere that they've already had complaints, just glad they are not getting anymore!

  • @dgross563 Btw, I saw your vids of your Quaker, very cute! I love quakers - and I want one! But right now I am in the process of upgrading cages and making a bird room so I have to wait. Funny thing is, one of the "cage aggressive" green cheeks who they named "larry" we got from that pet store ended up giving us 4 babies!

  • @dgross563 Just one more thing I want to add, it's not adding to the misery, it's giving a bird that is already in a bad situation a better life. I couldn't turn my back on ONE bird not well taken care of in a pet store in the hopes that it will stop them from buying and selling birds- it won't, and someone else will buy the bird anyway, especially if the store has a good rep with birds.

  • This don't seem to care in Florida, the only time they got mad was when they had to send fire rescue for a man that electrocuted himself trying to get some birds. My 2 Quakers are raised from chicks from the wild.

  • What does have to do with caring for parrots!

  • Poor lady; she has NO IDEA what she is talking about. Some STATES banned the keeping of quakers, as Georgia did but not Florida, for example.

The title, too, is just to lure viewers.

  • if i have one in the usa what to do

  • Keep it.

  • if quakers are illegal in US then how come there are so many here being sold and breed!!! that was not true!! quakers are illegal in some states but not were i live(texas) my teacher had one and stuff.

  • is there any quaker parrots in barbados

  • that is so mean! how dare they!

  • You are correct. I have seen on nature shows, how the natives in South America, would catch these and other birds. They would catch the bird, from the nest, put them in tubing packages, meant for construction paper blue prints; sometimes 4 birds to a packing tube. Usually, only 1 out of 12 bords would live to long trip, to the American pet shop. it was very sad.

  • It's important to let people know what's going on, but this title should be changed.

  • For F**cks sake! What a misleading, dumb-assI title. I've been looking all over for good pointers , as I'm going to S.America , hoping to get myself a nice 10 dozens of breeding quakers. Although it wont be for a while cause I still have to finish eating the whale in my fridge before it rottens. And I was also thinking, on my way there, might stop by and kill a rhino - need his horn (my libido's been down lately). Anyway, once I'm there.. Stay away from my nets you tree-hugging pansies!!!

  • I hope You all Get: that was just a joke. I do care a Lot, and support the THs on all Truly Important issues - which I can sum up in this: "Cut down on the human interference into Nature's ways!"

And if you care, and want to change human ways, make your voice sound respectable (for f*s sake!) This video, combined with the Title! is just pathetic.

  • PS I just can't shake of the feeling (everytime I see a vid like this) that the THs are just Weak people themselves who, by struggling for beings, that, in general opinion (and theirs too) are even weaker, make themselves feel good/better. If you really want to devote your life to this, keep in mind: over 90% of the species that ever lived here are extinct. And you won't fight poachers by posting such naive video here. How many poachers you thought might see this? All The Best! Really!! K.

  • go to hell, asshole

  • misleading title.

  • i've got a blue fronted amazon parrot

  • Colin24AstonWood Today I was watching a video and people were killing lions and rhinos for trophies, and talking a picture of the dead animal and the hunter, it was just heartbreaking for me and my friends. I really want to help rare animals

  • yah your about to cry... its really sad how they do these things to animals, i feel ur pain

  • 101naturallover, totally agree with you there. Some people if you can call them people have no respect for living creatures,or even other humans for that matter.

They have no Morality,Compassion,Respect or anything like that. Infact I feel they are partially brain dead! They have to be otherwise they would not behave in such manner!

  • There are plenty of wild Quaker Parrots in Florida, and they are not protected in any way, except you must kill them humanely, if you kill them. Some power companies destroy their nests and gas any they catch. We have two that we raised after they fell out of their nest. Do your research, PETA whiner!

  • errr...are u crying at the last part??

    u are so cute

  • fuck you popcorn

  • so.
