  • good work we call them connect 4s because when you get done with it the trigger looks like a 4 you can make heaver version of this for dead fall traps as a kid we would use the same trap with a pyramid wooden box to trap birds in the back yard.

  • @iwantosavemoney Thats interesting my friend Thank you.

    ,Reggie

  • @CZBOHUNK Thank you my friend i plan to

    Reggie

  • Oh! I almost forgot...With that Sesame Oil and Soy Sauce mix to flavor your Bamboo - you need to add a dash of Vinegar. The Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil wont mix without it.

  • @CriticalTh1nker Thank you my friend i will be sure be try that out

    Reggie

  • @TheGods1marine: Let me know what you think when you do. The method I outlined to you is a popular way that Bamboo is eaten here in Japan (And no! I'm not Japanese. I just live here.)

  • @CriticalTh1nker I sure will my friend

    Thank you

    Reggie

  • 3. Be proud that you possess skills that most don't; the ability to survive, with the aid of some simple tools, in an environment where most would probably starve.

Oh! And by the way...You handled Azrael315 well; the comment of whom, being completely irrelevant to the subject, was obviously a misplaced attempt to boast of his service, under the pretext of having a problem with your moniker and ACU's...

  • A few things...

    1. I've watched most of your videos since subscribing and have found them to be very informative.

    2. Relative to eating Bamboo: According to the wife, the root that you left in the ground is the healthiest and tastiest part. I cannot vouch for this; however, I can suggest that you place a small amount of Sesame oil and Soy Sauce in a dish for flavoring, and dip each piece in it as needed. For added kick, add a small amount of Wasabi to the mix. Lastly...

  • you're name is thegods1marine, yet you wear army acu pants, and your NOT a marine, go to bootcamp and stop irritating me kid, have fun EARNING that title like I did..

on a lighter note i enjoyed the video and i gave it a thumbs up, though it could be shortened...

  • @Azrael315 When i was younger i wanted to be in the marines like my father however as i have gotten older my career seems to be heading in another direction Also i received the ACU from my brother who currently serving over seas.

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • @Azrael315: The kid's not going around claiming to be Sergeant York, lay off.

  • Ah! You made me cringe when you started sawing with your knife towards you! 3:53 But man, keep it up! I love your videos!

  • @Noahrr25 haha yeah not the smartest thing to do

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • haha when i was young id put a stick under a box and tie a string to it that would run through my window inside, I would sit and wait for a squirrel to go for the food inside and pull the string except the squirrel was always too fast this is way better!!!!

  • @sjfergs haha That one way to do it my friend

    Thanks, Reggie

  • woaa you got a squirrel..

    squirreeeel... yaiii.. \o/

    is it tasty.??

  • @666abee haha it was not in season my friend so i did not eat it

  • @mooseboy66 You just can't beat those old hi carbon steak knifes

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • Don't let him go! He'll tell the other squirrels.

  • @radioactiveroach haha. Thanks for the laugh my friend it was much needed tonight

    ,Reggie

  • Nice work except when you were making the notch ; part of the time when notching you had the knife facing you which is awkward meaning there could be an accident for novices at outdoor craft . Besides that , catching the squirrel was an excellent climax . Well done .

  • @fabianstraregy Thank you my friend ill try to be more careful

    ,Reggie

  • @fabianstraregy That awkward moment... *shiver*

  • @7u94t0n Dude I'm good with a blade but when I see any chance of there being an accident I get cotton mouthed and spittle foams at the corners of my mouth . It's scarey :)

  • @jjb3point14159265358 Only take what you need my friend

    Thanks,Reggie

  • @jjb3point14159265358 your stupid :) but the funny kind .

  • @fabianstraregy derp...

  • i like how there's kids sayin "I'm 12 and I love his videos" lol. I'm 27 and I like them too lol. Kickass. Way better than Jersey Shore or Family Guy. Plus if the Sun ejects an X-class CME Solar Flare directed at Earth, we are all getting sent back to the 1800's overnight. And hopefully people who didn't waste their life watching Jersey Shore will know how to feed themselves other than stealing off of the people who do.

  • @yabaworld I'm glade to see you enjoyed my friend

    Thanks,Reggie

  • what did you use to bait the squirrel

  • @someramdomguy99 Peanut butter

    Thank you my friend, Reggie

  • In my country we call this a figure-4 deadfall trap. Well done! in my opinion a little too much whiddling but you managed to create a very fine hair trigger, which is the key.

  • @phatasm Thank you my friend

    ,Reggie

  • Finally, somebody, who'd show how it's made, set up, and WORKED.

  • @hplohish Glade you enjoyed it my friend

    Thanks ,Reggie

  • do they always bite the stick or do you put bate on it

  • @trinity9704 you will need to put a very small amount of bait on the end of the stick

    Thank you my friend ,Reggie

  • lol the squirrel is like "oh shit"

  • look's like a kitcjen knife:P!

  • good job! may i ask you a question... when you are going for a trip out in to the woods for about 3-5 days. would you take a small axe with you? or is a knife and sticks just about enough for preparing fires or shelters?

  • @ballzinacan01 Haha Nice !!

  • @ballzinacan01 nice realy lke that name thegods1marine love the video do ever watch bear grylls

  • Nice trap dude!! :D

  • Just my thoughts i think you need to sharpen your knife because of the force you had to put behind it. Imagine if you slipped and hit your arm or leg. Or worse your nads. Keep it sharp. Trust me.

  • i did it and i caught me a bear

  • now thats good EATIN'

  • Good video dude! You did a great job explaining everything. Maybe think about the camera shots a little, sometimes it was a little out of focus. I like that split stick version, and will try it. I just got into this woodcraft stuff and it's a lot of fun.

    Thanks fo' yo' info!

  • Good Video!!!

I liked the disclaimer you voiced at the end!!! Smart!!!

I will trap'em and have a big pot of boiling water and douse them
