    THE FUTURE FUNK!

  • DJ Kool Herc - da Father

    DJ Shadow - da Prodigy

    Jay-Z - d' King

    Lil Jon - Killa

  • @hspayneiii wtf... dude..

  • @MrKandamo whats wrong?

  • @hspayneiii man... lil jon da killa? Jay -z the king? please keep that kind of stuff in ur mind, not outside of it...

  • @MrKandamo that's the beauty of the comments page, freedom of expression. if you don't like it, don't express yourself. leave us expressionists to our vices.

  • @hspayneiii so why are you expressing yourself if u didnt like my expression? leave us expressionists to our vices.

  • @MrKandamo I just offered my alternative opinion. didn't say you were wrong. you told ME to shut up. big difference

  • @hspayneiii ok im sry if i bothered u.

  • DJ Kool Herc - The Father of HipHop

Tupac - The Prodigy of HipHop

Eminem - The King of HipHop

Lil Wayne - The Killer of HipHop

  • @EricKZhang you cant call eminem king of hiphop, dude.. please

  • @TheEickhoffe why the fuck not? im actually asking that isn't retorical.

  • @liamt9494 because he isnt.. if anyone is king name ODB, Biggie, NaS, KRS or anything.. at least a black dude

  • @TheEickhoffe u fucking naive bastard. the fact that Eminem out sold every last one of them and he is WHITE is an asset in itself and a fucking testiment to his skill as a rapper. He's had a much bigger impact on things that actually matter (by exphressing his political views) and yet at the same time has kept his hip-hop credability where as, in the same situation, any other black rapper would have lost all his credability

  • @liamt9494 in my eyes, he have lost his credibility.. and just because someone sells a whole shitload of records, doesn't need to make them good. in my eyes its about being 'real' as cheesy as it sounds.. and i dont think eminem is real. in my eyes he has become just as real as kanye west

  • @TheEickhoffe firstly, of course selling millions upon millions of records means you are good at what your doing, especially in the hip-hop world as the listeners will not listen to shit music unlike mainstream listeners, secondly who would you consider to be the "king of hip-hop"?, thirdly, yes i will grant you that recovery was a piece of shit and he has lost ALMOST all credability but i believe at his prime he was better than anyone before him and i still believe he can come back to that

  • @liamt9494 'listeners will not listen to shit music unlike mainstream listeners', now i dont know about you, but most the people i know, who listen to M are really fucking mainstream, especially when it comes to hiphop. now dont get me wrong, i love eminem, always have, he was the first rapper really got into, but as much as i love him as a rapper and person, i would never call him the king of rap. i really dont know it should be, but i think someone deserves the title more..

  • @TheEickhoffe The fact that his rhymes appeal to mainstream listeners shouldn't be an issue. It proves his tracks have good producing (which is mostly done by him) because mainstream listeners only listen to the beats (when i say good producing i mean good beats and melody's). just because he appeals to them shouldn't mean that his rapping ability is doubted and put down.

  • @EricKZhang i'll second all of that, especially lil wayne being the killer of hip-hop

  • The father of Hip Hop!

  • where can i listen to any other of his tracks

  • He's the one guy on the planet that can say "I'm the father of hip hop" and not be completely full of it. A Legend.

  • @77Andee77 you have no fkn clue what ur on about...

  • terrible!!! haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

  • much love for the breakers, kool herc, real hip hop heads out there and new york city!!*****

  • DJ Kool Herc actualy came form jamaca and started the hiphop movement

  • actually, hip hop and rapping directly evolved from jamaican "toasting" over reggae tracks in the 70s. Kool Herc was from Jamaica.

  • @Goldskool promoter?? THE GODFATHER...yeah he didnt rap, braek, or bomb..haha..but hes the one that brought the beats here so we can rap & break. The first one to play samples in clubs & parties..back in 76-77. .B4 flash.. he put `the fever` on the map..bow to the master...

  • fuck the mainstreem!!!! HIPHOP DONT STOP!!!! we must ressurect it to what it used to be.

  • @911LiesWorldWar3

I actually agree with you, I like classic songs, things like mozart, beatles etc. so you may assume I hate hiphop, I hate TODAY's hiphop, but I am a fan of Old School hiphop, where songs actually mean something, something good

  • PEACE FROM GERMANY

    this is the real

  • Why can't you buy Kool Herc on iTunes?

  • Because iTunes is run by idiots who only put out mainstream, money-guaranteed music.

  • Bronx River Projects, Edendwald Projects, Melrose Projects, Boston Secore, Gunhill Projects, The 9 Crew, Zulu Nation, 63 Park, Vally Park, Black Door, T-Connection, Roof Top, Harlem World... Latin Quarters, Dixie Club...

    THIS IS BIG POPA SON!!!!

  • he mentions Africa Islam, must of converted, still cool though

  • lol, Afrika Islam is the son of the legendary Afrika Bambaata.

Afrika Islam plays very crappy music nowadays, technohouse with electro influences, i say fuck him!

  • the kids today dont know where all this hip hop shit started, with this guy and Africa Babarta, and the origanals,.....!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i asked a kid the other day who he listened to,50 cent,...jay-z,he thourght hip hop stared with tupac, meanin ,he and other kids dont bother to find out the roots of it all

  • i know what u mean, the pepole who like tupac n think that was the real shit, and then say soulja boy and lilwayne is crap annoy me, cause tupac was a mainstream sell out, just like 50 and jay z and biggie and the whole 90's crew, they only like hip-hop after it went from left-wing to right-wing, plus all those guys who i mentioned are just trying to be like nwa, and nwa was good but they ruined hip-hop, fuck the police was a left-wing song then they started with all the crap- we need real music

  • shiiiit..if you ask me, i remember a kid telling me Vanilla Ice started hip hop

  • cool herc and that drum sound reminds me of "Fools Gold",both funky as fk.....!!!

  • repeat after repeat.. very interesting??? :(

  • Dope track. But Kool Herc is annoying when he's talkin through the track.

  • cool herc was the founder of hip hop

  • It's more accurate to say Kool Herc is the founder of American Dub Music (later termed Hip Hop).

Dubbin' came out of Jamaica with Lee Scratch Perry and Keith Hudson in the 60's.

    "rocksteady"

    "rubba dub"

    "singjaying"

    "cut selector"

    "mix master"

    "turntablism"

Were all Jamaican terms long before Hip Hop was born.

  • Skatin isnt hip hop.

It has nothing to do with music.

  • fucker i never said skating was hip hop

and as for music, everything in life would be dull without music (even skating)

  • Woah man chill.

There would be no life without music!

    Chill

  • its 4

    BBoyin, graffiti, mcing and djing

and no skating isnt part of hip hop

  • @raph21 Skating isnt part of hip hop, but should be. You live hip-hop and skating is a part of street feelings and liberty . But you're right not including it as a recognized hip-hop element

  • @OddAntSounds Well actually theres the big culture called urban culture, this includes all the street feeling things, including skate and hiphop.

  • @raph21 - correct . skateboarding isn't part of any culture because evryone in it has their owne style ranging from hiphop to emo's .But hiphop does merge with the skate scene ( watch any skate video ) . for instance i MC and i skate and have always listened to hiphop + youll notice alot of the time hiphop amplifies the flow of skaters and skateboarding to hiphop. Little lesson in culture there :)

  • @yourmumisburnttoast All I see is emo hipsters skating these days and it hurts my soul.

  • @raph21 ....I WAS THERE 1977 PIONEER EMCEE RC LaROCK ..GOT THE NAME FROM COKE LA ROCK.THE ROLLERS SKATE RINKS...WHERE THE FIRST VENUE PUT ON HIP HOP SHOWS IN THE BRONX AND BROOKLYNS EMPIRE ROLLER RINK..ROLLER SKATING WAS LEFT OUT CUZ IT DIDNT LAST..as a youth movement..i still roller skate.......its been left out big time...reseach the old flyers you would be amaze
