I got a problem with my Samsung 46inch, it's darkish half way & there's a green like line on the left abt an inch or centimetre thick (same side as dark side) goin up the side of the screen. U can stil see picture, whts wrong with it? Please help
I have the same issue with the left side (jumping) but once I take the screen off it's base and stand the screen up or prop it up against a table, it's perfectly fine. I think the base is (oddly enough) the culprit. It must be causing a ribbon to be pinched or pressure inside the TV... or something.
I bought one of these damn tv's, had it for a year and a half, it's went out twice on me now. The first time it went out, the power board had went out and wouldn't get no power. Now, the picture has went out all together. Unplug it and it works for a few seconds then back to the blackness.... I will never buy one of these tv's again.
@TheAmericanUhate After a few more service calls, Best Buy threw up their hands and gave me store credit. I traded up to a 60" LCD and haven't looked back since.
@rattusvulpes That's good they did that for you, wish they would help me like that. I just got off the phone with them and they said I could bring it in but it might be cheaper to just buy another one then fix this one again they told me. I'm pretty sure if I do have to buy another one, it won't be an insignia or from best buy lol.
@Zimm98 This problem ended up being solved by replacing the cable that connects the XY sync boards and the motherboard, if memory serves me. Now we're having a completely different issue, which is speckling in dark areas, which we suspect is "maldischarge" which apparently means some pots need to be adjusted inside. Either way, we're calling Geek Squad once again.
ive had very bad luck with best buy ,,,,, insignia,,, never again.
