  • what a beautiful car ;)

  • the 7 CV1934-1941 11CV 1934-1957 15CV 1938-1953 Citroen Traction Avant/

    Citroen 7CV/ Citroen 11CV/ Citroen 15CV/ Citroen Light 15 (UK)/

Citroen Big Fifteen (UK)/Citroen Big Six (UK)

    Paris, France

    Vorst, Belgium

    Cologne, Germany

    Slough, England

    Copenhagen, Denmark

  • i could have sworn this was an automatic car and not manual

  • Ca change des citroën de merde ultra féminisées d'aujourd'hui.

  • Every one of these, if in restorable condition, should be preserved; especially the pre-war models. Superb Citroën cars, innovative and beautiful.

  • In Spain during the 50/60's they give you 1 for free if you were able to roll it over in a manuver.

such a good car. By that era, here in Uruguay thieves they used it for escaping beacuse of they're speed and superb handling.

now ..they is one rusting about a block from my parent's house, still beautifull and charming desing. Maybe one day I buy it and restore it.

    even my mother like it.

  • Ah les belles routes de France !

  • vilken snygging :)

farfar har haft en likadan, fast med original motor och växel, ny från fabriken. synd att han sålde den i början av 60talet =/

önskade att jag kunde ha den gamla damen nu :)

  • The Traction Avant was the first smooth front wheel drive car in the world... great car by all tales... nice to see one driven.

  • one of my all time favorites.........oooh la la

  • Brilliant car! Mounting a DS engine and gearbox certainly improves the car, would you happen to know if it's also possible to convert a 11cv using a later DS engine and 5-speed gearbox?

  • @MrSoreto

It should do. The DS engine was based on the Traction Avant's straight six engine.

  • Good conversion !

Gearbox especially is way better than the original and motor more powerfull, which makes it go like a car you can still drive in todays traffic.

  • un film reussi

  • Is the Engine Mounted Transverse?

  • @daMoleKing

No the Traction Avant and DS/ ID had longitudally mounted L4 and L6 engines.

  • i like the sound of the traction ;)

  • I would assume you would generally have a better go of it with the more modern engine, and certainly stouter gearbox. There is a drivable 11CV forsale near me for $5000. Wish I could get it.

  • nice video

Engine noise makes me think of a Renault engine.

    renault traffic or renault 18.

and yet that is the DS 19.

very similar to that of renault traffic (I am talking about noise;)

it looks like the exhaust is dead.

  • These cars are awesome. I hope that I can have one someday!

  • I Have a Citroen b11 sport made in Belgium 1948 mod

  • Is a traction avant 11 or 15?

  • Citroen Traction Avant 11BN with DS19 engine and ID19 4-speed gearbox....

11BN (Normale) means it is a 11cv, the big bodied car not the small bodied car 11BL (Legere)

  • Cool your video!

    I also have two Citroens!

    A 11 BL of 1953 and a 15 CV, 1952.

Both are running, but require maintenance and replacement of parts and pieces that are already spent.

One of my biggest problems is conceguir tires for them.

The two cars here are in Brazil, where I live!

They are also needing of a good retirement in the "tapestry" because the seats and lining they are spending ! And a good painting!

The two were inherited from my father, which bought 0KM!!!

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiice!

but man, how fast you're going?

I love those citroen's, there use to be a lllot here in Uruguay.

  • Change the Engine it is be easy because the DS Engine is the engine of Traction modified from Walter Becchia in chambres of boom and the distribution.

  • Best video on you tube, wish I had one too.

  • can you make one for me?

  • no,no...I cant make one. Its not my car.

The guy who owns it work on this project for at least 10 years....but in the end it became a wonderful car.

I wish I had this car for myself...

  • aaah. So replacing the engine or gearbox is very complicated?

  • The film from outside is much more interesting than from inside.
