Grapplefit, I wouldn't even bother justifying what you do to anyone! But you know what some people are like, they hate anyone who are doing something they can't! Don't suffer the fools:-D
Did read "Deadly Deception the Story of Aspartame: Shocking Expose of the World's Most Controversial Sweetener" which is a compilation of reprints peer-reviewed medical journals showing aspartame can cause death and horrible, horrible diseases - but my guess it is all just propaganda and that Aspartame is incredibly safe and that this is all just nonsense to get us to eat more sugar...
@drsabel lad,the literature reviews dont have any evidence against aspartame.Several have been done to no avail.Books written for the general public arent evidence, you need to look at the reviews and studies themselves. The reason its been jumped on by the healthsquad is that it was created by scientists working for the monsato corporation and they pioneered genetically modified crops which always attracted suspicion.
Not liking the whole "can of soda" American speak Bazza, there's too much pandering to the Yanks from English people on youtube. Always remember who you are and where you come from. Most importantly be yourself and talk how you would normally talk to everyone around you. Great video nonetheless, keep up the good work.
@oxthemovie Fair point mate - but I do have a lot of subscribers on here and twitter too so it helps to include it a little. If you look at the vid info I've not used it all the way through.
@Grapplefit would you include diet soda in that correlation,is it something other than sugar that may cause it(correlate with it).Youre dead right about your international audience, speak however you wish to reach as many as possible.
@Grapplefit i'll have to disagree there, theres no evidence that aspartame has any adverse effects at the levels people usually consume.Googling anything wont produce evidence,it produces articles with no quality control.Use pubmed and input aspartame review or meta analysis if you want evidence. All scientific comitees asked to evalute aspartame by the FDA have found it healthy under 40 mg/kg/day,thats 10 cans of diet coke per day(not that it would be healthy to drink that much caffeine)
@scarred10 According to researchers and physicians studying the adverse effects of aspartame the artificial sweetener in diet coke the following chronic illnesses can be triggered or worsened by ingesting it: Brain tumours, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, parkinson's disease, alzheimer's, mental retardation, lymphoma, birth defects, fibromyalgia, and diabetes.
@Grapplefit incorrect, the evidence is inconclusive, you need to look at reviews of all the studies taken together, not individual ones.No scientific reviews show anything significant.Check it out yourself. Not saying its good for you but the adverse effects arent proven.Interpretting research is an important skill for a coach so you dont rely on opinion.
@Grapplefit you havent been reading the correct resources then have you.If you are going to recommend clients or the public do or do not do something, you need quality evidence to back it up
