there is a very fundamentlally wrong message in this video. the mormon church couldn't turn the white house into a temple according to there beliefs, because os the processes involved in building a temple. it has to be built from the ground up with the soul purpose of the ground breaking to be building a temple. who ever made this video needs to do some research before they the open there mouth on this subject again

Mormons consider themselves to be Christians, yes. More importantly, though, Christians don't consider Mormons to be Christians. I have no personal beefs with the Latter Day Saints and I personally like Romney but Mormons draw from far too many extra-Biblical sources to be truly considered Christians.

You can come to Massachusetts and ask how terrible Mitt Romney was as a Mormon governor. You will see that he is an honorable man and the LDS faith has never impeded his governorship...not his father in Michigan, nor Harry Reid in Nevada (also LDS). A governor or CEO is different than being president. As Governor of Taxachussets, he was constrained in what he did by the legistlature. The president has a lot more power than the governor of a state.

It is true that in Revelations 22:18 John says not to add or take away from that book but it also says the same thing in Deuteronomy 4:2. Should we then throw out everything after Deuteronomy also? Those warnings are for those particular books. No where in the Bible is it written that God will cease to call prophets and stop revealing his word to us. In fact it says just the opposite. That God will continue to reveal truth through prophets. See Amos 3:7.
I may be wrong, but I understand some religions/sects generally accepted as "Christian" don't include the Book of Revelation. Also, there is no single version of the Bible (a collection of books) that's accepted by all Christian religions.

If you knew what a temple was, you would realize what a ridiculous statement that is. It is a spiritual school, it is where we worship God, and we make covenants, like the ones at baptism, but they focus more on being virtuous and honest. We also are baptized for those that have died without baptism, and are married for eternity.

The Book of Mormon is only the "other stick" spoken of in Ezekiel 37:15-19. The Bible & the Book or Mormon together "...make them one stick and they shall be one in mine hand." - vs.19 Mormons believe in the Bible and use it as much as they do the BoM. The two books together compliment each other perfectly and gives a nice clear picture.

In 1990, 2,487,000 people identified themselves as mormon. In 2001, it was 2,787,000. That's 12% growth over 11 years.

The temple is NOT secret.Anyone can go there if they get a recommend.You just have to be living the commandments. Not every LDS member can go in because they have to be worthy. The temple IS very sacred though. Just because it's obviously not sacred to you doesn't mean it's not sacred to others. All the little things you are referring to are not as important as the covenants they stand for, so you can reference them to whatever you'd like. Your "criticism" is pointless.

You will see that he is an honorable man and the LDS faith has never impeded his governorship...not his father in Michigan, nor Harry Reid in Nevada (also LDS). It is true that in Revelations 22:18 John says not to add or take away from that book but it also says the same thing in Deuteronomy 4:2. Should we then throw out everything after Deuteronomy also? Those warnings are for those particular books. No where in the Bible is it written that God will cease to call prophets and stop revealing his word to us. In fact it says just the opposite. That God will continue to reveal truth through prophets. See Amos 3:7.

Deut. 4:2,Refers to what God commanded, not books. Rev22:18 is the final warning. The bible is the final authority in all matters.

I may be wrong, but I understand some religions/sects generally accepted as "Christian" don't include the Book of Revelation. Also, there is no single version of the Bible (a collection of books) that's accepted by all Christian religions.

stavros333 you call the mormon belief that other churches have no authority to perform sacrament and baptism critisizing,I call it the truth. Christ did'nt go to John the Baptist to be baptised, just because he was handy, he went because he had the authority, otherwise he could have been baptized by any of his disciples. Also I know that any church member that understands the beliefs of the church, will tell you that we believe that all Christian Churches have good in them.

I am a Mormon,Dose it not say on all US currancy "In God We Trust?" I can honestly say that we Mormons are extreamly peaceful people and would NEVER critisise ANYONE for there personal belefes. Its vary UnChrist like! If Mitt Romney was elected I can garentee that he would never show off his religon.
JFK was catholic but that seemed to be OK. If you want the truth about us then you should talk to a real LDS Mormon and not listen to those who dont even know the church doctrine!

Well if you wish to know those doctrins, then why dont you attend a chuch survice, arange a meeting with one of our bishops I garentee he will hide nothing! I cannot convince any person what I beleve is true, however if you desire to know the truth you should prey about! If you read James 1:5 It reads "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that givith to all men liberaly, and upbraideth not; and it shall be givin him". Prey with all you're heart and God promises an answer!

I stand unshakeable in faith in my faith. You're material things you have about this church is nothing compared to pure hearted faith and knowledge that one can so purely gain when unmistakibly guided by the spirit of the Lord. I now stand silent, I have done my bit with standing up and giving the truth. People can take it or leave it! I will never convince those who critisise peace. We have our belefs, we dont spit on others for beliveing differently! But then you should know that!

If you knew what a temple was, you would realize what a ridiculous statement that is. It is a spiritual school, it is where we worship God, and we make covenants, like the ones at baptism, but they focus more on being virtuous and honest. We also are baptized for those that have died without baptism, and are married for eternity.

No doubt about the Jews being God's chosen people, but are you aware that Romney believes in and knows the Bible as well as Pres Bush? The Book of Mormon is only the "other stick" spoken of in Ezekiel 37:15-19. The Bible & the Book or Mormon together "...make them one stick and they shall be one in mine hand." - vs.19 Mormons believe in the Bible and use it as much as they do the BoM. The two books together compliment each other perfectly and gives a nice clear picture.

i don't think so...look, i respect your beliefs but you can'tmake me believe that...are you aware of cannonization? some books such as ruth 2 etc. we're removed because although they were good books, they where not considered as written by men "inspired" by the Holy Spirit.

one problem with the book of mormon... it continually refers to a church which never existed before Christ. And thw word church was never used by christ. irt was a greek transliteration by king james, jesus came to fulfill the torah not to establish "the true church" there is no true church, just God's people which are the nation of israel and those who are grafted into that nation

hey, which comment is for me? well i don't believe any book is equally important as the bible...i also believe we should try understanding the some hebrew words for to avoid confusion and we cannot rely on one portion of the bible alone for the bible and all the books it contains is in harmony...no fact contradicts another though written by different men, it only has 1 author..God...the bible alone stands!

About israel becoming one nation and no longer two, being gathered from the 4 corners of the earth. It is a JEWISH MESSAGE..NOT LDS WHICH WAS NEVER IN THE MIND OF THE PROPHET. no my friend, it is not hate that drives me, it is rather the passion to convey truth in full disclosure so that if you do choose to follow this man and his faith (mormonism) then you should do so fully aware of what it is they embrace, believe, and teach, that is all. Surely God gives us all a choice to make to follow whatever or whomever, my desire is to simply make as many facts available to you as you decide.
