You ever mod the 5th gear in this to one of the newer styles? give yea a little more top end in 5th anyway. Plus dont even have to pull the tranny to do it.
Any tranny modes? becasue i wonder how the tranny has held up. The differential is the weakest link in a saturn tranny, my buddy had a street/strip sl2 he had to weld the diff to keep the pin in place if not the pin comes out just enough to gouge a sweet little hole through the case. It took 2 trannys to figure out waht happened.
Ok. Let's see. About 3400 pounds of camaro plus passenger weight = let's say 3650 to 3750 pounds of car to move at highway speed. Saturn SL2 base weight 2400 pounds with auto. Plus passenger or pasengers say 2600 to 2650. That's a diffrence of over 1100 pounds. That's makes a big diffrence at highway speed's trust me. The turbo don't hurt either! More weight to move=the slower the car will be at any given speed. That's a law of physics! Not just my view.

And mechanics charge you an arm in a leg to just but the alternator on the car as well. Saturn, Fords, and Mercury are the top three worst cars ever. Chevys are much better than a piece of shit Saturn SL1.

@mikedaman454 its got an aluminum block and the engines were never designed for speed, the car itself is a really light car but if you want to put a turbo in it you are going to be spending a lot of money in it and probably have to go the whole 9 yards, pistons, piston rings, crankshaft possibly, and a lot of other stuff. some people are into cars and will do it all and most ppl just think a saturn is a piece of crap. i have a 93 sl2 5 speed and love it. think what you want people.
@blackboy454 i have the same car, mines green, twin cam, just put the 92 motor in it i got mine with a blown motor for nothing and swapped in a good one just got it running cant wait to drive it lol then its p@p head cams intake along with other stuff. shooting for 13's on motor, can be done easily if tuned right

i love almost all my GM cars i built a 2001 camaro ss put a procharger on it and it took all that to just run as fast as my turbo SW2 and cost close to 54k with all the add ons needed for the LS2 to run the procharger.. it cost me under 2k to boost my 1.9 plastic torpedo .. and it ran mid 12's low boost max 10lbs to save the stock internals

dude are you serious?.... you get a wrx turbo and the DSM side mount intercooler... fuel pump Walbro 255lph also the same as the BBK and Holley fuel pump
Model Number (BP-WLB-32026) for a clutch make sure you go with anything that can hold 12 psi or just get a 6 puck clutch recomend a ACT.. also u need to remove the stock oil galley plug..its important... ill just pm you im running out of space here
