  • Brilliant film I watched it for free at BESTMOVIEMOVIE [dot] com

  • well done, i like the editing. could even try out one of those online contest too.

  • ...I can't seem to find the entity.

  • what's this?hahaha

  • Yeah whenever I go on elevators alone I get a weird sense that somepthing is watching me... 0_o

  • Yea, I live in a residence hall that has elevators that run to the 13th floor....thank God I'm only on the 4th floor and can take the stairs like usual

  • wow! That's really good guys! Especially given the time restraints and budget.

It's actually causing me to get nervous. I'm not a big fan of elevators. And if just watching this movie makes me uncomfortable, then you've done your job well!

Bravo! Hope to see more from you guys.

  • 5 stars, definately the best short "film" ive seen on youtube, genuinely chilling, great work!

  • God thats why i hate elevators,I'm scared that the cable snaps

  • Excellent film. The pace of the editing and variety of shots and camera movement at the end was very powerful. What lighting did you use? I'm doing a horror film for my degree and a bit worried it'll look flat. My only criticism is the climax was a bit of an anti climax although I gathered the lift was heading to Hell I just didn't feel the ending did the rest of the film justice. Amazing for 48 hours on £0 budget though. I'm on the same budget but i've got a bit longer to do it :)

  • With regards to lighting:

Because we were filming in a real elevator with no power sockets and the lift was constantly in use by the buildings residence during filming, we could not take any extra ligting into the lift or hold it still on one floor and keep the doors open to light it.

Therefore we just used the existing light within the lift and adjusted the iris of the camera and white balancing to get the best effect.

  • That was brilliant! I was actually really scared!

  • i loved this video! the shots in here were perfect!

  • I really like this, especially since it was only done in two days. I don't think people realize how much time is put into a good shot film. Good job.

  • Great movie, I love it! Hope ppl like you keep doin' stuff like this, will there be a part 2;) haha

  • I fancy the entity

  • The reaper scared me and the sound coming from the emergency telephone. i've been always remembering that sound and bothers me!

  • nice. that part with the reaper really freaked me out

  • Nice. Very nice.

  • Great job! that was really good! scary, too. hope you won the competition

  • =\ im clueless

  • Good stuff Scary

  • oh this was just rubish!

  • The only problem is that the man would be on the ceiling, then smash

  • Man you guys really mangled some sound- very cool!

  • That was a roller coaster ride. Great job, I think I'll go for another ride.

  • what kind of idiot could possibly think that's the cameraman

  • That was very entertaining mate.

  • i think its very nice, especialy the part where he hears the sound out of the emergency phone and then see the entity, thats the best part of the movie ^^

  • that was ausome

  • Argh that noise!!! *shudders* Good film!

  • the sound and effects were good, as was the use of the "tight shot", however, I found the story to be lacking any punch and the ending was a let down.

  • i dont get it lol.

  • I liked that!!

  • that was fantastic

  • Clearly the Von Trier of Thanet.

  • That was a pretty good film. I find it funny that someone thought the entity was a camera man. I mean the music or sound thing when you see him isn't hit enought for them. Anyway, awsome job, I loved it.

  • well done guys, excellent work. I totally understand the difficulty of shoting and the editing afterwards, i did a short film as well with my uni film group and when through a lot... nice work!

  • great film

  • good music and editing, nice film, good 1 !!!!

  • tower of terror, add the twilight zone music, that would been even more scary

  • robbed.

  • we should have won best sound as well

  • what place did you come?

  • We won "Best Student Film" and narrowly missed getting "Best Sound" by 1 point.

Alan did fabulously well though with his mobile phone movie winning "Best Film" and "Most Popular Film" awards. It was his night for sure.

  • We Rock!

  • brillant film! Well done guys last night. We all did well

  • love it! "welcome to aol!"
