Yea, I live in a residence hall that has elevators that run to the 13th floor....thank God I'm only on the 4th floor and can take the stairs like usual
wow! That's really good guys! Especially given the time restraints and budget.
It's actually causing me to get nervous. I'm not a big fan of elevators. And if just watching this movie makes me uncomfortable, then you've done your job well!
Excellent film. The pace of the editing and variety of shots and camera movement at the end was very powerful. What lighting did you use? I'm doing a horror film for my degree and a bit worried it'll look flat. My only criticism is the climax was a bit of an anti climax although I gathered the lift was heading to Hell I just didn't feel the ending did the rest of the film justice. Amazing for 48 hours on £0 budget though. I'm on the same budget but i've got a bit longer to do it :)
Because we were filming in a real elevator with no power sockets and the lift was constantly in use by the buildings residence during filming, we could not take any extra ligting into the lift or hold it still on one floor and keep the doors open to light it.
Therefore we just used the existing light within the lift and adjusted the iris of the camera and white balancing to get the best effect.
i think its very nice, especialy the part where he hears the sound out of the emergency phone and then see the entity, thats the best part of the movie ^^
the sound and effects were good, as was the use of the "tight shot", however, I found the story to be lacking any punch and the ending was a let down.
That was a pretty good film. I find it funny that someone thought the entity was a camera man. I mean the music or sound thing when you see him isn't hit enought for them. Anyway, awsome job, I loved it.
well done guys, excellent work. I totally understand the difficulty of shoting and the editing afterwards, i did a short film as well with my uni film group and when through a lot... nice work!

I really like this, especially since it was only done in two days. I don't think people realize how much time is put into a good shot film. Good job.

We won "Best Student Film" and narrowly missed getting "Best Sound" by 1 point.
Alan did fabulously well though with his mobile phone movie winning "Best Film" and "Most Popular Film" awards. It was his night for sure.
