I've heard that it really doesn't make much difference, within the first 3 seconds of it entering your lungs you have absorbed all the possible thc your lungs can handle in one breath, if you want to get more you need to either breath out and take another toke (your lungs need to reset) or the more interesting route I've found that got me mad high, is breath back into a bag, inhale some oxygen, breath out then rebreath your hit in, it doesn't taste good but two tokes and I was high.
