Can you refer an album that has straight-forward Tabla solos like this, brother? I am a Torontonian as well. I like to find a steady / mellow Tabla solo (like this one). I love the instrument, but not with other stuff, just neat Tabla, very mesmerizing.

Delhi Gharana is alive and well because of this Maestro. After Ustad Latif Ahmed Khan's death there was a void but it is gone.

I thought this was Ajrada Gharana? Maybe it is similar to Delhi gharana?

What Ustad Ji is playing is texbook Delhi (Kinaara baaj). But stalwarts of all the tabla styles can and do play compositions of other styles if they wish to. But the Kaida flurry by Ustad ji is totally kinaara style.
