Well, both have good storylines and both are fun to play, but imo, Metroid has a more elaborated one, deeper, a creative storyline. the game itself is more elaborated and creative, you can tell by just reading the logs and all the details they put in it, a high quality game indeed.
And truth is, when Master chief runs out of amo, Samus doesn't ;P
All I can say is that Metroid Prime has a more interesting story line and what is best, you have to discover it, you have to find the story behind the mission and that is the simple reason that Metroid Prime can kick ass at Halo. Halo is only for those who like to shoot to everything without reason and Prime is boring for them because they have to read XD and some hate it because they know that Samus can kick Master Chief's butt whenever she wants.

When Halo was released metroid tried the multiplayer at MP2 but it was so limited to as halo options and features... Metroid needs multiplayer online to suceed as much we want it to be a franchise game for Nintendo and not being a total bust cause of halo, COD, battlefield, and the rest of FPS

Also, Samus was blasting aliens in space DECADES before Master Chief came out of cryo stasis.

Echoes is like Halo two in terms of music: A bit rockier, a bit jazzier, a little bit of the two mmixed, but still unique enough to be epic as hell.

What would have been if in metroid prime trilogy you had the ability to go online, select samus, gf troopers, space pirates or other hunters and go online on a designed level taken from bryyo or torvus or phendrana and shooting the heck out of all your friends???? Or a zombie mode like in COD using the corrupted gf troopers of MP2... different modes and features... DAMN that would have be soooo EPIC!!!!

@Nigel26ish The online feature wasn't available in the gamecube, so MP1 and 2 lacked at that... When Halo was released metroid tried the multiplayer at MP2 but it was so limited to as halo options and features... The multiplayer was OK, but you only had the choice to select like 6 maps and played against 4 friends ONLY! Metroid needs multiplayer online to suceed as much we want it to be a franchise game for Nintendo and not being a total bust cause of halo, COD, battlefield, and the rest of FPS

@Nigel26ish I know Metroid is not a FPS per se... Metroid is a FP Adventure, but... Metroid is a hardcore game, and hardcore gamers suited to FP games opt of excelent multiplayer and online features.. Metroid doesn't have that... And it needs it to be succesfull.. In my opinion, they have to make a twist in the metroid franchise IF they want it to survive... If not we could probably wait for 3 or 4 years till the next metroid... I hope i'm wrong though..

I guess so, I wouldn't say it NEEDS multiplayer, but that'd certainly add a great element to the game, that's why I loved hunters, even if I could hardly ever find an opponent...

@lilman227 I'm just debating not wich one is better... Just the fact that one is a huuuuuuge success (Halo) and the other not so much (Metroid) I am a huge metroid fan, but Nintendo hasn't won the money they expect coming out of a metroid game as much as they expected. So I'm thinking if we want metroid back, it NEEDS to sell as much as Nintendo wants it to. They have to make somethings alike to FPS games (such as online multiplayer) in Metroid fror it to sell.

Nah, I'd have to say there are a few more I like better. Like Prime's two themes at the titles, and the Mother Brain theme in Super Metroid.
But it's good. Better than Corruption's main theme IMO.

Corruption's main theme was SHOCKING. Normally, I take time to listen to the main theme when I get a new Metroid game, but Prime 3 was the only one I skipped past after 15 seconds of listening.
